Open 18 months at the time of our visit. The ambiance is fantastic. Incredible outdoor seating in their court yard set up. The service is great and the food is what you would expect from any Slanted Door.
Birthday dinner for my wife. Much better than the experience I had when it was in the Ferry Building. Everything looked great as it passed us on its way to other tables. Ours did not disappoint. They and I highly suggest that you share. Great flavors.
Our family of foodies had a birthday dinner there. Service was excellent, atmosphere was great (it's a beautiful restaurant). I gave the food (and therefore value) only 3 stars, simply because while a couple of dishes were excellent and elevated (Hamachi Crudo and Imperial Spring Rolls) others were barely so-so (the crock pot, ribs and glass noodle crab). But overall, it was good experience. We'll be back, but maybe to the bar (great cocktails!!!) for appy's sometime soon.
Slanted Door did not disappoint, from the moment we walked in, to bring seated, then sling to move. They were very accommodating, shaking beef excellent, glass noodles with crab, too die for. the papaya salad great. Imperial rolls viet style... too much. Pavvalo dessert, was out of this world the meringue with the lime curd and the masserated fruit berries. Not viet but so good.
We wanted to try the slanted door in Napa for quite some time made a reservation outdoor dining, beautiful summer evening, elegant upon arrival staff extremely attentive each service to the table was on point memorable, cocktails appetizers, entrées, and an evening cocktail as dessert bravo, we will be back for brunch next time!
Don't miss the vegetarian imperial rolls, chicken pho & shaking beef. Beautiful patio seating.
This was our first experience at Slanted Door - Napa. So happy we tried it out. Have missed Slanted Door - SF in the Ferry Building. Food was excellent, service was top notch, the patio seating was well shaded and peaceful. Would love to go back and sit at the beautiful bar. Would highly recommend if you are seeking Vietnamese flavors.
Over all a wonderful experience for my girlfriend's birthday. The shrimp spring rolls and peanut sauce were outstanding. A little overpriced, but it's Napa.
Great food-shaking beef and cellophane noodles were delicious! Service and waitstaff exceptional kind and thoughtful. Gave us great recommendations for going out afterwards. Ended up sitting outside as it was cool and shaded.
This was a excellent Vietnamese food dinner, fresh and flavorful. We had a group of four and enjoyed sharing a variety of tasty plates. The menu is diverse enough that there is something for everyone and a refreshing alternative to the very good chop houses and Italian restaurants in the area. Special props to the bartender who personally helped me select several high quality single barrel bourbons to enjoy with my meal, as well as cocktails for my guests.

Slanted Door never ceases to amaze. I miss the Ferry Building location as I get to travel to SF often from the east coast, so when I saw there was a location in Napa I planned my trip to eat there twice. As a solo traveler it's impossible to enjoy all the tastiness in one meal. I sat at the bar where Zack took great care of everyone with competence and friendliness. Cocktails were perfect. I had the ginger limeade one day and a bees knees the next. All the favorites are on the menu, Hamachi Crudo, Shaking Beef and the cabbage/grapefruit salad. I returned the next day to enjoy the crispy imperial rolls. Everything was delicious! There is ample parking in back and a delightful courtyard should you want to eat alfresco. Chef Choi stopped by and chatted with me both visits (what a bonus as I like cooking and have tried my hand at several recipes out of the Slanted Door cookbook). This is one of my favorite restaurants in the country and one I make a point of visiting whenever I'm in town. You should too!
Amazing Chef Nick... and staff. Great food and options for all... vegetable spring rolls and lemongrass tofu! Staff were attentive and kind. Atmosphere is sleek and modern - great Napa experience! Thanks Nick!
Beautiful tree canopied patio, lovely indoor spaces, too. Vegetarian and vegan options. Attentive service. Food was delicious and different that what i've had in other Vietnamese restaurants.
I grew up in SF and enjoyed the original Slanted Door in the Mission district many times . I also liked the food at the Ferry Building Slanted Door and Out The Door on California Street /Fillmore . This was my first time at the Napa restaurant with a friend for our birthdays . She had been there before and had not liked her meal but wanted to try it again. I did not like a single thing we ordered . The food was tasteless , the dough around the dumplings was thick , opaque and very disappointing . It is usually translucent , thin and delicate . The chicken /cabbage salad was without any taste at all . The champagne was 27 dollars per glass and I get great bottles from France for a little over 30 dollars . We were charged 9 dollars to have a little red pepper oil and sriracha. We needed the hot sauce to give our tasteless food some appeal. Then we had some fresh vegetarian spring rolls which we didn't finish due to how tasteless they were . I will never come back and I hope when you reopen in SF that your former chefs will be taking over in the kitchen .
We had a lovely meal. There were 4 of us and everyone agreed that their meal was perfect. Delicious in every way. I had the shaking beef, which I always get. Two of our party had the cellophane noodles with seafood - and they loved it. I don't remember the last dish, but it was enjoyed. We all agreed that we would certainly be back. Happy dining.
