The tomahawk ribeye was fantastic, but not worth the high price point.

We showed up at 530 for a 530 reservation. We were seated at the closest table to the outdoor area, which was accessed by a large garage door. It was 49 degrees when we showed up. The outdoor space had space heaters already. The indoor space had no heaters. We immediately asked for the corner table away from the garage door that let all the outdoor air from the skating rink into restaurant. The waiter was kind enough to offer a thick blanket to my lady. They had lots of blankets available for indoor guests. The manager brought over a heater to put by our feet, which was powerful enough to heat my lady's big toe if she put her open toed shoe 3 inches from the heater. Our food arrived at 6:40, over an hour after we ordered it, and it was ALL lukewarm at best, including my so-called medium filet which was clearly rare. The best part of the evening was that my lady's wine glass stayed chilled, since it was 47 degrees outside, with that outside air happy to make its way throughout the restaurant to the guests, who mostly had parkas and other winter gear on. Even the asparagus and freshly torched potatoes au gratin were barely warm. My girfriend went to considerable effort to wear a beautiful dress, only to have it covered up by their ridiculous blankets making her look like Miss Claus for Christmas. The waiter, Anthony, was quite nice, and he did offer 30% off after sensing our disgust. Pictures are of my girl's ridiculous blanket over her amazing dress, just to keep warm, also the plastic eucalyptus plant decoration, my so-called medium filet, and the gigantic garage door to the outside letting in 47 degree air to the restaurant while the people dining on the patio had plenty of space heaters. Also my girl trying to warm her big toe with with handy Easy Bake Oven sized heater.

Ember Restaurant was sub par. Food was delayed getting to the table. Probably because Chef was out chatting up a table in the dining room. Steak was overcooked by one temp. Sauce was over reduced, cold and skinned over. Our server seemed stretched but the floor manager didn't help him. Clearly not enough support staff, water sat empty for over 10 minutes.

Dinner started out great. Shrimp cocktail was awesome. Then the steaks came. My wife ordered hers medium which came medium rare. I ordered mine Pittsburgh medium rare. I cut into mine and it was well done. The waitress kindly took it back and said they would bring me a new one. Unfortunately the manager came back with the original steak with the center cut open and tried to explain to me that the steak was medium rare. Although the center 1” of a 10 ounce steak was medium rare, I ordered the entire steak medium rare. The manager was far out of line questioning a customer. Never go back again. Besides you can't even find the place since it is part of a resort. Bad experience!

The menu at Ember was not as exciting as the articles described. The Caesar salad with carpaccio was drenched in a pool of dressing, it was unappetizing. The filet mignon was cooked to the right temperature, we'd asked for medium, and nicely seasoned but a bit dry. The mushroom side dish was fabulous! Nice wine selection. Excellent service from the host to the server and manager.

We have such an amazing experience! Anthony, our waiter was very knowledgeable and extremely personable. Management came over to ask us how our meal was and we gave them an amazing review at our table. My husband and I will definitely come back to this restaurant when we're back in Napa thank you so much for hosting us and giving us an amazing meal.

We came with another couple, and we ordered a Tomahawk, asparagus and the truffle fries was outstanding.

Can’t go wrong
So much competition in Napa and Ember is another good one. I recommend an outdoor table and watch day turn into night.

There is nothing bad I can say about this place. The food was amazing. Our server was so good. He had great suggestions for wine pairing and suggestions on the menu. Highly recommend this place. I suggest making reservations well in advance.

My husband and I went to Ember for dinner on the night of a concert. We both enjoyed our steak, especially after adding some salt to taste. The drinks, however, tasted bland or watered down. The mac and cheese could have been creamer or more cheesy. We also had to ask for stake knives. The dessert, Gelato, was the best thing from our dinner. Overall, if you're really hungry and staying near by, this might be a good option. However, for the amount you pay, you might want to wait and go to a different steak house.

Don't be missed by bad reviews.
It opened 2 months ago so all bad reviews from June and before came from old business.
We had dinner with order New York strip and Oscar ( crab meat) and two glasses of wine. The steak cooked perfectly with medium and medium well. The flavor and heat are even along the steak, high cudo. My server guy is very friendly with nice chat and cares about our food, and the manager is nice to explain things around.
Only one small thing it was a music event that night, the music was loud. Other than that the place is nice and romantic for night date

Energetic Noise level because we were there during the Trombone Shorty concert, which was planned and we loved sitting in the resto seeing the band. The pricing is high, resort, what would you expect. Service was great as was the food.

One of the best steakhouses we've visited! We have a favorite in most states we visit, one in Florida was on top of our list. Until Ember in Napa. It is now our #1. Best tomahawk yet, and grilled to perfection too! The service is also top notch.
