Came here before the snarky puppy concert. It was fun to listen to them doing sound check and the food was pretty good. I really liked the salmon with hot mustard sauce. Would certainly go back.

The ambiance is great location is nice. The service was mediocre, two of are sides were bland. The steak however was pretty good.

Andre the manager has great customer service. Went above and beyond to help make my mom’s birthday special. Highly recommend for anyone celebrating a special occasion or just life in general. Thank you Andre!

Limited menu. Great service. Mediocre food. Pretty sure the filet mignon is really a baseball cut.

Just celebrated at Ember over the weekend and wow, this was an absolutely PERFECT dining experience, so much so that we requested the chef come to our table so we could thank her. We ordered the Mosaic Roll which was like no sushi roll I've ever tasted and was magnificent, the caesar with carpaccio which was delicious, filet migon (medium rare) perfection, and then a lava cake that may have been the best dessert I have had in the last year or two. Thank you Ember! People should know about this restaurant even with all the good ones in Napa. I actually can't remember a more satisfying dinner in Napa, including some of the more well-known ones (no I haven't been to French Laundry but have been to many others).

Date night away from the little one and Ember did not disappoint. Carolina the bartender extraordinaire and Brice our waiter were wonderful. Attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and just what we needed on our night out. We had the ribeyes, one with the bone and one without, asparagus, mushroom confit and Oscar and Bone Marrow accoutrement, chefs kiss!!! I had the walnut old fashioned that was absolutely delicious but I also tried my hubby’s blackberry margarita and almost changed my drink to that but that walnut old fashioned can’t be beat!!! Will absolutely be back!!! Staff and management also get a shoutout because they were all so personable and welcoming

A Rare Gem Behind the Bar at Ember Steak

My experience at Ember Steak in Napa Valley was elevated to a whole new level thanks to Carolina, the incredibly talented bartender whose proficiency and poise behind the bar are nothing short of extraordinary. Every moment was met with precision and grace—her attention to detail, warm hospitality, and deep knowledge of spirits turned a simple drink into a bespoke, memorable experience.

The cocktail she crafted wasn’t just a drink—it was an expression of art, balance, and intention. Carolina doesn’t just mix—she curates, she listens, and she delivers with absolute efficiency and elegance. Watching her work is like witnessing a master in motion—fluid, focused, and refined.

If you’re visiting Ember, sit at the bar and let Carolina guide your evening. It’s not just a cocktail—it’s a crafted memory you’ll carry long after the glass is empty. Best, Katie & Todd from San Clemente.

Good dinner and very friendly staff. They even brought a water bowl and a to-go meal for my service dog! Try the maiitake mushroom side. Very disappointed that the only gluten-free dessert available was sorbet.

Glad I trusted the review that told me to ignore the bad reviews. This place is a gem in Napa!!!! Wow better than some of the top rated places I’ve tried out here. I’d definitely visit again. Had an amazing unagi nigiri special that was TO DIE FOR. Can’t miss the A5 Miyazaki and peppercorn bone marrow. Sides were great, we had the mac, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. Service was top notch!!! I’d definitely visit again.

The tomahawk ribeye was fantastic, but not worth the high price point.

The two bartenders were lovely, the food was great, and they tried very hard to be celiac/gluten free friendly

We showed up at 530 for a 530 reservation. We were seated at the closest table to the outdoor area, which was accessed by a large garage door. It was 49 degrees when we showed up. The outdoor space had space heaters already. The indoor space had no heaters. We immediately asked for the corner table away from the garage door that let all the outdoor air from the skating rink into restaurant. The waiter was kind enough to offer a thick blanket to my lady. They had lots of blankets available for indoor guests. The manager brought over a heater to put by our feet, which was powerful enough to heat my lady's big toe if she put her open toed shoe 3 inches from the heater. Our food arrived at 6:40, over an hour after we ordered it, and it was ALL lukewarm at best, including my so-called medium filet which was clearly rare. The best part of the evening was that my lady's wine glass stayed chilled, since it was 47 degrees outside, with that outside air happy to make its way throughout the restaurant to the guests, who mostly had parkas and other winter gear on. Even the asparagus and freshly torched potatoes au gratin were barely warm. My girfriend went to considerable effort to wear a beautiful dress, only to have it covered up by their ridiculous blankets making her look like Miss Claus for Christmas. The waiter, Anthony, was quite nice, and he did offer 30% off after sensing our disgust. Pictures are of my girl's ridiculous blanket over her amazing dress, just to keep warm, also the plastic eucalyptus plant decoration, my so-called medium filet, and the gigantic garage door to the outside letting in 47 degree air to the restaurant while the people dining on the patio had plenty of space heaters. Also my girl trying to warm her big toe with with handy Easy Bake Oven sized heater.

Ember Restaurant was sub par. Food was delayed getting to the table. Probably because Chef was out chatting up a table in the dining room. Steak was overcooked by one temp. Sauce was over reduced, cold and skinned over. Our server seemed stretched but the floor manager didn't help him. Clearly not enough support staff, water sat empty for over 10 minutes.
