ZD has become my wife's favorite winery and today we celebrated our brother in law's birthday with an afternoon tasting. As always the service (huge shout out to Samantha for her amazing service and kindness), wine and calming ambience were 5 stars. We highly recommend everyone adding this wonderful winery to your next napa experience.
My family and I had a fantastic time getting a tour and tasting experience. Samantha was very knowledgeable and overall excellent. I was able to secure a wine from my birth year! Unforgettable experience!! This is a must do when in Napa!! Thanks again!
A stellar winery in the Valley! The view on the patio is amazing, and the wine is even better. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. One of our favorite destinations while in Napa!
We recently had an amazing experience at ZD winery! Beautiful tasting room with a wonderful view overlooking the vines. Our host Samantha was amazing - so attentive and very knowledgeable about the history of the winery. She provided us with helpful recommendations and we left with a mixed case of wine of all types of varietals! Definitely will be back!
Eric was amazing! Knowledgable, welcoming and fantastic atmosphere!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting ZD winery, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience! The moment I stepped into the tasting room, I was greeted by Samantha, who brought such amazing energy to our visit. She was not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the wines. Her enthusiasm for each selection made our conversation engaging and enjoyable.
As for the wines, I was particularly impressed with the Reserve Chardonnay and the Founder Pinot Noir - both are exceptional choices that truly highlight the winery's dedication to Zero Defects. Each sip was a delightful experience, showcasing the complexity and craftsmanship behind them. I highly recommend ZD. I can’t wait to come back for another visit!

We drove out there and the big white sign at the end of the drive way says 'open 10am-4pm for tastings'. We stop and go inside to a large room with 5 people in it. The hostess asks if we have a reservation and we didn't, so she tell us they are completely booked and turns us away. Apparently an empty tasting room doesn't want/need our money so don't bother going.
We were in Napa Valley and looked for a not-so-big winery along the Silverado Trail to taste their wines.
Coincidentally, perhaps it was just luck, or rather providence, we stopped at ZD Wines.
We were greeted very friendly and received the sheet prepared for the wine tasting. During the course we learned that it was a family and organic business, which made us very happy. For the tasting we sat at a shady table on a large and very beautiful terrace. To go with the very fine wines, we ordered a Curated Cheese & Charcuterie Selection, which tasted great and went very well with the wines.
We had a really great wine tasting here, during which we were looked after by several people. Everyone was very friendly, professionally competent and gave the whole thing an almost family atmosphere. That's exactly what we hoped for and we were completely happy and thrilled. Unfortunately we couldn't buy any wine here because our luggage was already at its weight limit and paying excess luggage for the wine would have been too expensive.
I am from central Illinois and was driving around exploring when I stumbled upon this lovely winery. I called from the parking lot to see if they had time for a tasting and they said yes! Everything was set up so quickly. Sam was the person running my wine tasting and her knowledge was just so impressive. She has a great sense of humor and made me feel right at home. I had a blast! Thanks again for a great time Sam, I surely will be back again one day.

We visited ZD wines as part of our tour of Napa Valley, and without doubt it was our most memorable experience - from the moment we arrived Stefania and the team hosted us exceptionally.
This winery stands out as it allowed us to see the whole journey of grape to finished wine, and there was a real family feel, being able to see and hear the journey of the vineyard from its founding to now.
Stefania and the team were superb at guiding us through the various wines, helping us really understand what made them what they were. The wines themselves were fantastic, with each of our group having our own favourites, which in itself was testament to the quality and variety ZD wines have to offer.
There are over 500 wineries in Napa Valley to visit, but a return visit to here is definitely on the cards when we next return to the US.
Good wine. We would have walked with 3 bottles however, out of principle we did not. Reason? They don't comp tasting fee with any dollar amount or bottle purchase. They made less on tasting fee than being more with the majority of wineries who waive with tasting. Also...certain tables received an extra trial of another pinot we were not offered.
One of Napa’s best wines and most hospitable. Can’t wait to get back there!
My husband and I had the best experience here on a random Monday with Stephania. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, friendly and accommodating to my husband and I. We absolutely loved her and the wines here! We did the cheese pairing and that was also fantastic! I chose this place because they had some Pinot noirs which are my favorite and they were very good as well, 10/10 experience all around!
I wish we never found ZD vineyards because nothing after compared. Stephania was fantastic. Highly recommended but maybe end with ZD :)
