of all the filipino pandesal in san diego we have tasted, this is my family's favorite. been goin to this bakery over 15 years. the price has increased throughout the years but the taste is still the same. i haven't tried all their products but the ube pandesal, puto, spanish bread and karioka are exceptionally tasty.

Located at the seafood city shopping center, it had a lot of homeless people outside by the establishment on the table and chairs outside the seafood city next door. There's never any fresh pan de sal left everytime i come in. The butter bread is NOT butter- it's slathered in margarine. Aka fake butter- YUCK. Service isn't bad here though compared to the chow king and red ribbon up the way from this location

I had the pan de coco. The bread is luscious and sweet but holds its own. The filling had a balanced sweetness, fantastic texture, and was not goopy. Absolutely delicious. I'll be coming back many times and trying everything.

THE BEST BANANA BREAD I’VE EVER TASTED!!!If you’re a bread lover like me, I SERIOUSLY recommend this shop! He was so sweet and patient! He even took time out of his day to answer questions and help pick out a delicious banana bread! He claimed I would be back tomorrow and guess what?? I will be!!

Visited here to pickup a bag of fresh hot pan de sal since we were next door picking up a GrubHub order. We normally get our pan de sal at another Filipino bakery in National City. But considering we were next door, it was very convenient to grab a bag since 1) they had hot pan de sal available to sell us without any wait, 2) we were already there, and 3) it gave us a chance to try a new place. Their size of their pan de sals are well portioned. But the softness, and taste was not as tasty as I l'm accustomed to. I know this is purely my subjective opinion and others may have quite the opposite opinion. I want to point out that it wasn't like they weren't good, I just "prefer" the pan de sal where we normally get them. We didn't purchase any other types of bread, dessert, or other items they offer unfortunately. The staff was pleasant and their display area appeared clean from what we could tell.

I came here twice on my San Diego vacation. Once on the way in and once on the way out. We showed up later in the afternoon Friday and were served fresh pandesal. I realized you have to ask the staff at the counter for the hot ones that everyone talks about in their reviews. It was soooo good. We even stopped on our way out to have for the week. Both times the staff were kind and attentive. They have a variety of other baked goods like carioca which we had and it was tasty! It's great because it's right next to seafood city which is why we had come to this area anyways. I'll definitely be back!

I love it when the pan de sal is freshly baked. It's all doughy and soft, and I can pound a dozen of them.

I have been coming here for many years maybe since I was 8. They have been opened for a really long time, always friendly faces behind the counter. They have so much goodies to choose from! My favorite is their coconut bread, it's filled with shredded coconut pieces. A lot of Ube/taro baked pastries. I've attached pictures of what was left after the morning/lunch/dinner rush lol. This was late in the evening around 7pm. They were still open when we went. Recently discovered they accepted EBT. I'm assuming they accept debit cards. I always paid cash here. Old habit when visiting this bakery. Don't let the hole in the wall fool you! It's really delicious. Give it a try.

Came here because I was craving fresh pandesal at 1:30pm on New Years day and their pandesal did not disappoint. It literally just came out of the oven. So soft and fluffy! Best pandesal I've ever had!
