I ate the “dirty bird” plate, I kept telling my girlfriend “oh my god this is heaven” for $15??? I cannot believe. So damn good.

Great sandwiches! Was our first time there so we took their recommendations and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out! We got the bacon ranch sandwich and it was delicious. The chicken to bread to sauce ratio was perfect! We will definitely be back

Very nice people, that chicken is fresh. Highly recommend. Love it! Keep up the good work!

The best chicken fries I’ve had. There is a lot sauce but the fries are still so crispy and not soggy at all amazing chicken definitely will get again.

One of the best damn sandwiches I ever ate. Bun, sauce, pickle and chicken... perfection.

Food was delicious, very filling I got the Dirtybird fries and my wife got the Chick Magnet. The food may have been great, but the customer service from Ramon was even better helped us pick out something based on our likes since it was our first time eating there

This place is great. Huge portions, great flavor, and I love that you can choose your spice level. Can wait to try the rest of the menu.

It's alright but wouldn't generally recommend. Chicken was a tad bit stale and not seasoned that greatly.

Chicken sandwich was so yummy but unfortunately I didn't care for the macaroni and cheese. Definitely would come back for chicken sandwich.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE! I ordered on grubhub at 720pm, my order was supposed to be ready by 735, when I got there they HAD NOT PRINTED OUT MY ORDER & GIVEN IT TO THE KITCHEN even, 10 minutes later they revised my estimate to 750, I was trying to cancel my order w/ grubhub at 817, 1 hour from when I ordered when they gave me my food. I wasn't the only one other people were having THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, & to add insult to injury, people who walked in & ordered their food, got it first. Absolute trash, don't support businesses that treat their customers like their time is worthless.

This spot is straight trash. Food is cold, fries are stale, and chicken has no flavor. Went in today with only 1 person waiting for their food and they misses half of my order. Came back and they said they'd throw in more utensils and napkins for the inconvenience..... geeez thanks! Fries are stale. Seems like they used last nights fries for all 3 of our orders. I mean totally bad. Not even edible. Tempted to take them back after this review The sauce, why are all the sauces white? How do you not offer Buffalo on the side. Wtf!! Nasty sauces in the side and they don't even toss the chicken in sauce. I mean this is bad. Will never go back even if I was paid or if they had a gun to my wife's head. Sorry wife this place is that bad.

Customer service is amazing, and this was my first time eating here. The food is great! I bought the firebird, the spicy level I chose is hot, and it was very delicious. The pickles were a great touch to it as well. The chicken is so crispy along with soft and tender. The portion is great for the price. I cant wait to try out there other foods :D

I was at Plaza Bonita shopping the other day and was surprised to see that Firebirds had replaced Chipotle in the food court! I'd had them once before at their location in City Heights & decided to try it again. I order the Dirty Bird fries and they were super good!! Definitely a large portion of fries and a whole lot of bbq & ranch drizzled on top. The only thing I wish there was more of was the chicken. But overall, I really enjoyed the meal! I'd say price and portion is fair. The service was good too. Nothing special but not bad either. So if I'm in Plaza again and craving chicken, I'll probably go here over potato corner!

I have tried several other fried chicken sandwich places throughout San Diego and this is by far the worst. My friends and I all ordered off of the first time menu since it was our first time and we didn't know what to get. We ended up getting 3 Big ol sandwiches at varying spice levels, firebirds Mac and cheese, the chick magnet, and fried pickles. At first glance the food looked amazing but upon trying it we all decided to stop eating and threw it away. My mom taught me to never waste my food, but damn this s*** was bad. Sorry mom. To be blunt the chicken in all the entrees were dry, unseasoned and hard to put down. There was a chalky and gritty texture to the batter of the big ol sandwiches that was unpleasant to taste. The coleslaw in the sandwich was mushy, bitter, and messy. The sauce was absolute garbage. It tasted like they mixed Valentina, Tapatio, and mayonnaise, and somehow found a way to make it taste awful. Finally the fries were soggy and hard to chew. Just like the chicken these fries were either unseasoned or not seasoned enough, regardless they were bad. I ended up paying about $15 for the combo which consisted of everything I had listed prior plus a drink. Absolutely not worth it. The firebird Mac and cheese was straight up disgusting and unappetizing. The Mac and cheese tasted old. The cut pieces of chicken on top were chewy, and dry. The flavors were disgusting as it just tasted like they doused everything with a bottle of Tabasco. Overall the Mac and cheese ain't it. Also the Mac and cheese ain't make no damn noise when you stir it around. The chick magnets presentation was just messy. The sauce is ok, but like the other sandwiches it suffers the same fate, dry, unseasoned, and hard to put down. I don't have much to say about this one other than it's not good. The only thing that was decent about our experience was the fried pickles and soda. To be honest there's much better chicken places around San Diego such as Main chick, Dave's, and Bird n Bun. I'd also much rather get 2 spicy McChickens at McDonald's over this. You know the food is bad when everyone looks at each other and collectively agrees to throw it out. I don't know if we just came on a bad day, but I might be willing to give this place another shot later on. Overall, This franchise ain't it. Bring back the Chipotle.
