3.5 STARSHoused inside of the Seafood City Supermarket is the Grill City eatery. Although most people get food to go, there are many tables adjacent, to enjoy a quick snack or meal right there as well. Grill City is kept pretty clean, well lit, and full of food choices. It’s a treat to see them grilling the chicken skewers and boy do they look and smell good! There’s usually more than 25 different items to choose from, not to mention dessert items.I’ve only eaten the Pansit Palabok, Turon, Pinakbit, chicken skewers, Bagnet, and flan here. I found the prices for regular dishes to be decent, however, the Bagnet and other fried pork specialty dishes are quite pricey. I’ve only gotten food to go, but the seating area seems pleasant, however it is inside a supermarket, so it’s not an ambiance of choice.I read some reviews of horrible service, however, I’ve never experienced or seen any bad service there whatsoever. The workers have always been pleasant and helpful the times I’ve frequented. It’s not the best Filipino food, but it’s decent. This food counter is inside a supermarket, it’s not a restaurant, so it should be reviewed as such.I will continue to come here and get the usual items that I aways get since it’s convenient. If you want a place where you can see all the dishes and sample a wide variety of Filipino food, then don’t hesitate to give Grill City a try if you’re in the area.

To Alda, please don't work in customer service if you're not willing to help. Everyone here prioritizes their chismis instead of assisting their customers, especially Alda. Even when there are people in front of them waiting to get help, staffs here wont even assist you. You literally have to yell just for them to help you. Do not go here. Rude staffs!!

I went here last night and ordered Dinuguan. I must say, the entire dish was PURE FAT. I paid $15 for pure fat dinuguan. It was so gross I would never recommend this place. Looking at their portions, even the barbeque were small compared to the other mom and pop shops. Also the staff was rude. I stood there for a while and three people literally ignored me because they were chatting. I had to get their attention for some assistance. The other dish I ordered with the combo was laing. That dish is well seasoned and tasty. Another thing that happened was right as I was about to pay, some guy was picking up his food. The guy helping me dropped everything for the guy. He took care of him first?! Its weird and the staff was rude. I wasted money and time on this place. Would not come back and would never recommend.

If you are craving some Filipino food this is a great place to go. There's one in National City and also one in Mira Mesa. Both are similar in quality, quantity and following food safety guidelines. Skewers....both chicken or pork or good tasting but small and overpriced. Halo-halo was good, but didn't have a lot of things inside like the other places. The cookie on top was stale, so that wasn't a good start as that is what you bite in to first. Many other places who have a good halo halo if you are looking for that. Service is good but definitely not following San Diego County guidelines. NONE of them were wearing gloves and the one who is working the cashier ended up getting my Halo-Halo without gloves! She didn't make it, but that doesn't matter because the guy wasn't wearing them either! If you are okay to eat food that doesn't follow food safety guidelines then this is your place. They offer a lot of different food selections to choose from, so the variety alone is worthy of a 5 star. Most of the dishes I have purchased in the passed are pretty good. My MIL always purchases from here and she is happy with them. You will find this location inside of Seafood City along with Jollibee. Then again I can tell you there's numerous places not following county protocol/guidelines for food service...and lol the food is still good!

Surprise to see good Filipino food in this part of the US. Perhaps due to large Filipino in nearby areas. The restaurant seems to be popular as shown by worn out fixtures and furniture. Food and pastries are really great just like back home. It seems they have other great products that is only available here in the west coast. Everyday lunch time seems to be busy. You need to be on line early.

Not a 5 star place, but definitely not a 3 star place. Food was affordable and pretty good, got two meats for like $12 or so. Service is whatever, but it was quick. I had mostly bbq stuff but the other stuff looks good, give it a try!

Go to barbecue on a stick place. Fairly consistent on their barbecue offerings. Like also their grilled pusit offerings.

Chicken sisig was awful. No way they charged extra $2 for that... which doesn't makes sense. Sisig ingredients are simple and its easy to make. I would understand if they charged extra for like kare kare, lechon, pork belly, etc. but for a chicken? What a scam
