Good malasada, I prefer the smaller original but still good spot if you don’t want to drive far or fly to

The malasadas were good, but price-wise I don't feel like you're getting what you pay for. The lowest amount you can order is 3 and that's around 9 dollars. Filling is also extra, which means for $10 you'd just be getting unfilled malasadas. Also cash only, which is disappointing. Don't really get why they'd rather have a ATM in the space rather than just accept card.

Loved it! Went earlier today and I ordered an iced latte and 6 pack of filled malasadas. My coffee was great, far better than other coffee shops I’ve tried in National City, and was made surprisingly quick. The malasadas were warm and fresh, but some of the fillings were a little too artificial to my liking. Service was also great, the young girl at the front definitely gave off that Aloha vibe, and guided me through the menu as I was a little confused at first. Got my malasadas within 15 minutes, would recommend.

CASH ONLY! Messed up order 2x...first they gave my order to someone else. Had to wait 30 minutes to get 2nd one, but they managed to screw that one up too. Not a very great 1st impression.
Crispy donut with plenty of filling.
Ube is delicious definitely recommend.
Nutella, which was the wrong one in place of Bolvarian and I personally hate Nutella...I tried it anyway and it is WAY too sweet as most Nutella desserts are.
Haupia is a little on the sweeter side, but tolerable. If you love coconut, you'll enjoy it.
Try it, but customer service might be iffy. It's a tiny shop with 1 table and a few stools.

I was in Hawaii and the McDonald’s haupia pies were delicious. When I found out that this place had haupia I was excited. But unfortunately their haupia tasted bland.

Best Cappuccino coffee in "National City" love the malasada (Hawaii's Ultimate Donut) just as well. I grabbed my treats and sat down at the cute blue table on the sidewalk and enjoyed my early Saturday morning. You should try them too. Tell them I sent you so I can get free treats.

So I believe this use to be the onigiri /homestyle hawaiian spot. However my husband & I went here & we got the 6 malasada deal for $14 and of course added different flavors of filling (each filling is an additional $1 ?.) The Malasadas are so good, the exterior of the donut is perfect and we got the standard sugar (I believe you can get it plain, sugared , sugar & cinnamon & li hing moi coating.) we ordered 2 haupias , 1 ube cheesecake, 1 mango, 1 crème brûlée, 1 chocolate. The fillings are so good & they don’t play with filling up the malasada! Customer service was great ?. The young gentleman up front very pleasant. Wait was like maybe 5 mins or a less for our order to be packed up & ready … oh and they come out nice and hot .. best time to eat it ! Definitely coming back here . To try other flavors. Parking is free shared with the little plaza. Oh and very important factor it’s CASH ONLY! I don’t know if they plan to change that later on, but as of now that’s the case.

I have to say, I got curious about the manuela malasadas I saw on instagram. Since I’m off today, I gotta try what they were raving about.
Wow! The malasadas are outstanding! Fresh! I only ordered 6 pieces coz I wanted to try some of them. So I got 2 Ube, pineapple, chocolate, guava and mango. They were all delicious. I didn’t get a chance to get malasadas in Hawaii so this is the closest one. I have to try some next time. Mahalo!
Went there around 3:10 yesterday and they were close already. We wasted our time driving all the way there for nothing. There's no phone number and hours listed on google search. The young guy told me they closed at 3 pm and ran out of malasadas already. What kind of business posted their name but no hours and phone number to contact to? What a waste of our time!
This place is great! I love the malasadas, especially the chocolate, ube, strawberry, and cinnamon. The staff are really friendly and welcoming when we order. The food was a bit hot then expected. Also a bit messy from the sugar. Otherwise it’s delicious and nothing wrong.
Definitely would recommend!!
