On Sunday, July 10, 2025, at around 10:15 AM, my friend and I went through the drive-thru and ordered four drinks. After my friend paid and even left a tip, the employee at the window suddenly and in a rude tone asked if we had called them “sir.” We told them we didn’t believe we had. They then replied, again in a rude manner, “I’m not a sir.”

We were confused and caught off guard because we had no intention of addressing anyone incorrectly or disrespectfully. We simply came for our drinks. This interaction happened before we even received our order, and the tone and attitude from the employee made the experience very uncomfortable. Out of concern for how our drinks may have been handled after that exchange, we decided to throw them away.

We understand and respect that people identify in different ways, but there is a professional way to communicate with customers if a misunderstanding occurs. This was not it. We were polite, we paid, and we tipped yet we left feeling disrespected and uneasy.

Customer service is about making people feel welcome, and unfortunately, that was not the case here. I hope this location addresses this so no other customer has a similar experience.

Great customer service! Maggie was really helpful and patience. I was confused on the menu and she made sure i got a good drink. Also the goth girl was nice too

Worst Location ever been too, overheard workers speaking about their sex life instead of helping a customer, the worker maggie was extremely rude to me she kept speaking on headset w coworkers and ignoring me at the window and just looked over and made weird faces at me, 0/5 stars, these workers feel entitled to everything but deserve nothing . do not come here

Got there at 8:55 pm. It says they're open until 9:00 pm and the lazy attendants had already locked the store! Ever going back there again!!!

always go to Starbucks, but honestly, at this location the guy working there always responds with a bad attitude and seems upset all the time. It feels like he demands a tip, and if you don’t give one or if you give just a little he gives you a look like he wants to kill you. It’s really uncomfortable, especially since the coffee already costs $6 or $7. It’s like you have to pay for your drink and also pay them personally. It’s not about the money—it’s the attitude and the way they make you feel pressured to tip. That’s not pleasant, and it’s definitely not a healthy environment. I really hope they improve their service, because it makes you not want to come back

Man, I hate giving 1 star, but this was bad.
I been getting that magnificent Lavender Matcha Late all over SD. I love it!!
But this particular starbucks made the worst one I've had.
First, they refused to give me extra lavender on the side (which I've done at other locations), then when I get the drink it barely has any lavender cream and the matcha is extremely bitter.

I also got an iced tea, and they didn't put any ice. It was gross and too sweet.

While chatting on the intercom, the lady on the line also sounded like she was having a bad day. So I think this was due to employees over working or there's trouble workers here. 🤔

Rude. Tried to use the restroom before I got something and the kid gave me the “bathrooms are for paying customers only” his rude reply made me not want to buy anything. It’s Starbucks I used to work at a Starbucks for 3 years and we always have the code. Makes sense if it’s a homeless man.

Great location for roaming nomads such as myself. Outlets for charging, plenty of parking, plenty of tables/seating. First time I’ve came here and it was on a Monday late afternoon, noticed a lot of teenagers come in and out, not sure if there’s a school nearby. Other than that, really chill.

“The staff here are very unhappy and lack empathy. Isabel, one of the employees, saw me and when I asked for the restroom code, she insisted that I had to make a purchase first. Despite explaining that it was an urgent situation, she refused to help multiple times. Only after I changed my attitude did she finally give me the code. This was a very disappointing experience in terms of customer service. The staff definitely need better training to be more understanding and welcoming.”
