Tacos el Trompo A Mexican Tradition

Well I was craving a breakfast burrito and I was told El Trompo had a special from9AM-12PM for Breakfast Burritos $6.99 and let me tell you it was the WORST BREAKFAST BURRITO IVE EVER HAD! The bacon didn’t taste like bacon the beans weren’t smashed even tho they were “refried beans” the potatoes were brown like when you peel and cut potatoes and not put them in water. No flavor the tortilla was the best part of the burrito. The salsa’s are weak no flavor no salt no spice. The chiles toriados are nasty and not worth the $2.99 price. Of course the food saves the best for last. I have food poisoning. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AND SAVE YOURSELF LOTS OF TRIPS TO THE TOILET AND STOMACH PAINS.

You should update your closing time on the internet. After a long day of work I checked that this place closes at 10:00, showed up before 9:00 and it turns out they close at 10:00 only on Tuesdays.

I wish the restaurant all the best... but the Carne Asada and the Cabeza tacos lacked flavor because of a lack of seasoning and fat.... are these diet tacos?

The food was good. The prices were good for Taco Tuesday..Need to work on cashiers not smiling and or friendly..

Went Sat evening before the drive in. Food tasted like what Fabuloso smells like. We ordered street tacos and a combo plate. I was disappointed because I've eaten here before and it was good and I wanted my husband to try it. I'm not sure if all cooks wear gloves but the cook used his bare hands to prepare our order. We noticed the cashier was mopping when we came in. Maybe there was cross contamination with their hands while cleaning? We were already at the drive in with our kids and when that was over they were closed. We don't live in National City. I hope it was just a small mistake and it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Good tacos, reminds me of home. Tacos a bit on the pricier side but if you come on a Tuesday the price should be good, also the tacos are on the medium to larger size. 10/10

Excellent food and service... feels like Mexico!

Was excited to get tacos have heard good things about this place but sadly cannot review it, ordered inside for Togo and lady handed my bag said everything including salsa is in the bag, after a 45 min drive home it was only my husband tacos not a single one I ordered so sadly I paid but cannot taste because they did not give me my order and I cannot just turn around and drive back I do not live close

There were four of us that bought food from here during the same visit and the food was not good. There was zero flavor to the tacos I got. I got more guacamole put on my tacos then anything. I was curious if I somehow just order guacamole.

I asked for a California burrito, I guess who ever prepared my food thought was a potato 🥔 burrito, was small for the price, this place used to be good.

All wrong. I ordered green chilaquiles with good sauce. Old and hard omelette, I ordered fried eggs, overcooked eggs, old rice, old beans. Hard avocado. The only good pot coffee. I'm not coming back. 🥴

Tacos were really skimpy!
