The Barbecue Pit

I just came in at 8:25PM and the lady said I need to take it to go. They close at 9:00PM. After I pointed this out to her she allowed me to dine in but I was too irritated; I went to eat elsewhere.

5/26/2025 went to get some pork ribs and a pull pork sandwich and got very very disappointed the ribs were dry and hard and the pulled pork sandwich was a joke look like it was a jr. Bacon cheese burger tiny burger and mac an cheese was flavorless never going back again

Very low quality bbq.. no flavor. Mac salad is nasty! Definitely better off going to a higher end bbq amd paying extra for quality

Always a great experience. I have been coming here since my grandparents took me here in the early 90s. Love this BBQ place! Great food especially when you're craving a home cooked meal. You dont want to miss out on trying this at least once! Young man at the counter such great service, serves with a smile.

I ordered the bbq ribs, ham & sliced beef combo with side orders of baked beans, potato salad & corn bread muffins. The ribs were well seasoned & tender. The ham & beef were both flavorful. The baked beans & potato salad were well executed with the perfect blend of sweetness. The corn meal muffins were moist & very good. I think however by heating them first in the microwave as well as serving them with a side of butter would really elevate the cornbread to another level. The bbq sauce has a unique flavor & is excellent all around. Portions are generous & customer service is on point. I was too full to sample any dessert. A solid choice for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended for a hearty & enjoyable meal!
