Broken Yolk Cafe

Ok I had NO IDEA there was a Broken Yolk Cafe in Plaza Bonita Mall. This place is poppin! A crowd of people waiting to eat. Honestly, I feel that this location is a tad bit small. Especially for the amount of foot traffic that they get. The food was great. Their menu has greatly improved. Vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Not bad. Their cups are larger than the regular restaurant cups that you would be accustomed to. Our waiter was awesome. For the most part, the food was great.

I got a table quickly. I had no one server. One walked by and noticed, I didn't have a drink.So I got my drink order. Ten minutes later, someone finally came to take my food.Order.A different server mind you. Then, I had to ask for my check after I was done.Buy a random server walking by. I have no idea what server was assigned to my table. They never introduced themselves. But the whole time, there were five servers talking by the cash register. While the food was excellent, it came quickly.The service is absolutely terrible. I will definitely think twice before going back.

Doug, the manager, was amazing. The gluten-free pancakes were fantastic. Amazing, attentive severs.

Broken yolk never disappoints. Today I enjoy the French toast breakfast sandwich. It was simply delicious.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Broken Yolk is the best breakfast chain in San Diego and the Plaza Bonita location is no different. We went on a Sunday morning and there was about a 30 minute wait, but worth it. Mornings are tough, so we started with a mimosa flight and espresso pumpkintini. For food we had the New York steak & egg and the smoked salmon Benedict. Everything was great. There is a dog friendly outdoor patio. The service was fast and friendly. Recommend!

HORRIBLE SERVICE , WAITER UNPROFESSIONAL TRYING TO ARGUE BACK TO US ABOUT AN ORDER, HER NAME IS (VIVI), THEN TO TOP IT OFF WITH THE SUGAR FREE SYRUP 2 BUGS CAME OUT OF THERE ON OUR FOOD . Would not recomment coming here anymore definitely not coming back.
