Valerio's Bake Shop dishes out some of the MOST SOFT and delicious Filipino breads. Located in National City in a little strip mall. Parking can be hectic at times as there are many eateries in the same strip mall. Prices are very reasonable (especially for freshly baked breads) and customer service is good. Either walk-in or order in advance for pick up. We ordered: Cheese rolls - delish soft bread with cream cheese inside and butter with dusting of fine sugar on top. Cinnamon Ensaymada - I would compare to a miniature cinnamon roll. Not too intense with cinnamon flavor with a light airy slightly sweetened cream cheese frosting with a dust of cinnamon. DELISH! If in the area and you want a bakery that has amazing soft bread, sweet or savory...give this spot a try. Your welcome in advance!

3 stars because They renovated in there but I waited 15min for fresh pan de sal on a Saturday morning and it tasted very, very yeasty. I also bought some UBE bread that was warm and fresh but it's nothing I would ever buy again. I was sad because I've been coming here since I was a little kid, I feel like they have changed over the years.

Philippino magic! Whatever these people do to flour must be a secret! Amazing purple ubi rolls and breads, plus other coconut filled rolls, cheese pandosol, etc. addicting because it's not too sweet. Warm, fluffy, chewy, no way you can eat just one!

The food is great. Service is pretty fast. Love their warm Pandesol. Clean, but pretty tight when the place is busy.

Ube cheese pan de sal Ube cheese pan de sal Ube cheese pan de sal Unfortunately, saying it 3 times didn't make it magically appear, but I promise that if you get your hands on one, it will magically disappear. They've went up in price, but seriously-what hasn't, but I think they're about $3.75 for 3 or roughly a $1.25 each. Pillowy soft ube delicacies that taste more like creamy Ube bread if anything. Unless you've eaten Filipino cheese rolls, it's not what you're imagining. It's not like a normal cheese roll, it's more like the satisfying taste of a Hawaiian roll. That's the only thing I can compare it too. They never seem to answer their phone, but you might want to call ahead to see if they have them, as they do run out. Maybe get some for New Year's Day if they're open. Enjoy!

I ordered cheese balls from Valerio's, and within 10 minutes, I received delicious, freshly baked bread balls! They were incredibly tasty and sweet. I highly recommend giving them a try!

You, me, parking lot, Puto Boom boom? Actually, it's spelled Puto Bumbong. It's a fun and tasty mochi like dessert. Great dessert for sharing! Velerios is a great Filipino bakery. I think they have the best bread rolls! They're so fluffy and soft. They go with almost anything: pasta, steak, sandwiches, sliders, or alone! The cheeseballs are good too. I haven't tried everything here, but I'm looking forward to it! The location of this branch is convenient but the parking is pretty bad. On a busy day, you'll probably want to just drop someone off to grab the food and go. It's difficult to get in and out.

Grab some Filipino breads and desserts early morning and impressed how pleasant and friendly the lady that attended us. Place is a typical but clean and tidy. 5 stars for service, food tasty and reasonable prices.

I tried their Chicken Empanada. It is good but pls reduce the sugar and make it less sweet. I came on 11/3/23 around 2:30pm. The service from the woman behind the counter was good. She was fast and nice. Next time I will ask for her name. Customer Service is so important so customers will keep coming back. It costs me $12 in gas money round trip to drive to National City. It is worth it because of good customer service and good empanadas.

Was in the mood for some baked goods and so glad I stopped by! I got a pretty good assortment and brought them to a party in which everyone loved! All the items were pretty good, not the best i've ever had but still very enjoyable. Will try their hot foods next time

Good delicious bread! Small bakery but very busy. I've only gone in the mornings and even then at 7am there are usually 4-6 people already waiting. So go early.

This is the smaller of the Valerio''s bakery in National City but they are always nice here. Just make sure you come early if you want the fresh and hot pan de sal.

My wife and I went there to try the cheese balls and they not disappoint! They were a great balance of sweet and salty. Fast service and good selection. This will def be a place I will go whenever I'm in the area and want cheese balls!
