Perfect little place to stop for lunch! The food was super very tasty and quick and attentive service! The atmosphere was super quaint but custom! Both my husbands burger and my blt were great! We also enjoyed bringing our baby in and the staff was very accommodating and sweet it's not easy with a new baby!

Three of us had dinner there on Friday, March 15, 2023. From the moment we entered we knew we were in for a enjoyable evening. The owner's daughter immediately greeted us with the warmest welcome and smile. We later met the owner and her husband who were also incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. They set the atmosphere for a great night! Two of us ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, and vegetables. This was the best fried chicken we had ever eaten! Everything on our plate was cooked to perfection! Kudos to the Chef! The other entree ordered was the fettuccine with alfredo sauce and again it was fantastic! We definitely will be returning again and again! This restaurant is a gem and we are so glad we found it! Thank you for a memorable dinner and evening!

We made a reservation for 8 and were impressed from the moment we walked in the door. Our server was Hannah and she was wonderful. She made great food recommendations and wine selections. We had chicken parm, brussel sprouts (must have), sweet potatoes fries, risotto with chicken and a beyond burger. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

Always great food and quick service. For the quality of the food and quaint atmosphere, the prices are quite reasonable.

I came here during the holidays and the atmosphere was lovely. The service and food were excellent as well. I got the pork burger with fries and a mimosa.

Me and my wife stopped in here the food was absolutely delicious tastes like it has clean ingredients. Everything's fresh and appears to be homemade. It was a little busy and there was only one server but she did really good job of getting everyone taken care of. I highly recommend this place we will be back next time we're in Nevada City.

We came into town on the last Sunday of the Dickens Christmas Festival. We checked in to our hotel, walked up and down Broad St and decided to see if anyone had an open table. We walked in to a busy Bistro 221, and were seated within 10 minutes. The servers were very kind and attentive. The food was very good, especially with the chaos of their annual and popular city event going on. We'd definitely go back.

My husband and I are visiting for a couple days. We decided to give Bistro 221 a try based on the menu options. When we arrived, we were seated right away. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and salmon cakes as appetizers. Both were amazing! We couldn't wait to try our dinners. I ordered one of the specials, roasted given pesto penne. My husband ordered the salmon risotto special. When our food finally arrived (took about 35 minutes) I was disappointed to see that my dish wasn't much pesto but I was still hopeful. Upon my first bite, I found that its sauce was pretty basic. More like a cream sauce with a dash of pesto in it. But the sauce really had no flavor. The chicken was more of a grilled rather than roasted chicken. What topped it off, two of my pieces of chicken were still raw! That was it for me. I ate as much as the pasta as I could but was too afraid to eat anymore of the chicken. My husband enjoyed his dish even tho the risotto wasn't much of a risotto. We decided to get dessert based on hearing the table next to us ordering. Here's where I was disappointed again. I ordered the crème brûlée and my husband, carrot cake. When we got our dishes, I took one bite of the brûlée only to find it cold. The top was burnt but that was it. It had more of an ice cream (not as cold) but that consistency. My husband's cake was cold. Pretty much everything came right out of the fridge or freezer. Spent over $100 at this place to have raw chicken and cold food. We were really looking forward to this nice meal. Maybe this was a fluke for this restaurant as other reviews are good. Hopefully others have a better experience.
