I got over charged. I phoned and told her. I had a tragedy (Suicide) I cried on phone while talking . She said OH GOD and slammed phone down. Would not pick back up. I just went in now and this employee demanding receipt. I was looking up and told her why I had not returned right away. Interrogated me. What did she look like what was her name? I said she answered phone. Got mad said no one would do that here! Then said she would not continue the conversation. I said wow maybe it would of been nice to say I am sorry that happened that was very unkind. She got angry and started telling me to not tell her how to feel and snapped and you this and that. So hurt, I said I was hurt zero cared. They are horrible people unkind people.

Elixart is my go-to chill spot in Nevada City. Sean makes the best drinks and always has a good recommendation when I am unsure of what I want. I love the Blue Dream + Vacation Jun combo. As a non-drinker, it is so nice to have an alcohol free place with good vibes and consistent good music. I oftentimes come for the Ecstatic Dance afterglow too. Also highly recommend the kale chips and cookies.

I was so looking forward to going into this teahouse, during my first visit to Nevada City, and was very disappointed by the experience. Not only did the host/woman behind the bar not say hello or greet us, or acknowledge us at all... after I tracked her down to order, i watched her bring everyone their tea and orders to their table, but not ours.... After waiting a considerable amout of time, I went up to find out what was going on, and she exclaimed, "oh it's been sitting here for a long time. " She did not notify us, acknowledge this impact or miscommunication, or show any warmth or care. I would not go back, nor would I recommend the place. I'm flexible an open to a broad range of experiences, and this wasn't an experience at all, sadly.

This is such a great spot. Being as it is, alcohol-free, you can enjoy a night out without the crazies you find at a bar on a Friday evening. They have live music throughout the week and they often invite a very eclectic mix of performers. Their menu is also on point. They have a wonderful selection of healthy beverages and very good snacks. It is easily the location I frequent most in town as it is also a wonderful spot during the day to relax with a good book and a cup of tea. ????

Love this little kava bar. Has the feel of some of the Austin coffee shops of the late '90s/early 2000s I uses to frequent and love so much. The guy behind the counter could be a little less standoff-ish but maybe that's just his personality and I'm reading too much into it. I'll go back when I'm in Nevada City, for sure.

We were really looking forward to trying this place on our anniversary weekend. The matcha lattes we had were great, along with one of the raw vegan baked goods, but the service left us feeling very unwelcome. First, the food. Loved that they make plant milk in house with limited ingredients, and the extensive menu. Awesome as a non-drinker to have so many diverse options! As for the service... The individual working the counter last Saturday afternoon was super unfriendly from the jump, cut me off while I was telling them how excited I was to be there, and acted like we were inconveniencing them the entire time. When I asked about the raw vegan treats, they didn't even take the time to show me what was what, just quickly rattled off what they thought they had, as if they were too busy. It was our first time there, so we didn't know what the policy was regarding used dishes, and we didn't see any signs. The person was working alone, so we didn't want to inconvenience them by leaving the dirty dishes at our spot. My partner went up to the counter and asked if he should set them down there, and he was told "yes" with an obviously annoyed reply. I get that everyone has bad days, but there's no need to treat customers like this. We were made to feel very unwelcome. While the atmosphere and food was really nice, we'd only get stuff to go here in the future, if that individual is working the counter again.

Dance Dedication This is review number Maestro or Maestro a few notes on the piano if you please, Eleven, of this Elix Art Tea! After we went hiking, the people and I came here for Tea! They do have working places, many times the one will bring his computer (He Is Working On His Second Book Against Bullies)! Well, this time, after hiking, so no computers! They were setting up a dance floor! The youngest in the party, they like to writing Letters Of Compliment! She did do some dancing! At one point the youngest, she wrote the usual Letter Of Compliment, gave it to the bartender Christopher, short yellow hair! All in the party enjoying Jasmine Tea, every so often the youngest will dance! At one time of playing the music, the person that plays the different songs, "This next song is dedicated to you, Young Lady," he is looking directly at her! "We received your letter! Thank you for the very nice words!" Another party, even a seven year old child danced with her! Wow, nice they dedicated a song to the youngest! Every in her party impressed, they all agree that is because of the Letter Of Compliment! What a fun way to finish a day of hiking! Best of luck to this Elix Art Tea!
