We enjoy going to small towns in NorCal near home, normally we find our trips very fun and great food! Not this trip. After 25 minutes and only 1 order ahead ? we got our cold food ?… side note: my wife tried to order the croque monsoir sandwich thing but was told they weren’t ready yet.? About ten minutes later the next order was allowed to order one… we were shocked ? to over hear this.. I don’t approve of nor recommend this establishment.

This is my favorite restaurant in Nevada City. The food is really excellent, the atmosphere, feels like a special occasion, every time, and the staff and owner are the *best part*. We feel very nurtured, and taken care of when we go to this café. Recommending everything five stars. The food is really excellent!Vegetarian options: I get the beyond burger, blue burger that has sautéed onions, blue cheese, brioche bun, and comes with either an amazing salad or fries. It taste like a real burger 100% and is amazing. That salads are really really excellent as well.

Amazing mushroom hamburger. Very moist and one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The squash soup hit the spot on a rainy winter day. Waiter was super friendly.
