I had a lovely meal at the bar. I kept it simple and just had the seafood chowder, which was delicious. The bar was fully packed and the restaurant was busy too, but the bartender did a great job keeping up with everyone. The wine list was great, too!

Excellent food, but very small portion of salmon for the price. Absolutely outstanding service, our waitress was right there to answer questions & gave 110% great service. We understand food prices and we are ready to pay, just want larger piece of fish. We will go back in the future & try more dishes. We encourage you to eat here & report in. Lovely decore & note, the bar crowd is loud, no surprise.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Lola while visiting Nevada City! The ambiance in this restaurant is amazing. Classy and well-done restoration both in the restaurant and walking through the hotel lobby. We went during a weeknight a few weeks after Christmas and didn't need a reservation for our party of four (we were seated right away). The bar also had an Irish band playing which gave our dinner a unique and fun vibe.Throughout dinner, our server was so attentive and helped to recommend items on the menu when we couldn't decide. We started with the Brussel Sprouts, which were incredible. For four people, we felt we needed two orders of the Brussel Sprouts, which turned out to be the perfect amount. For the main course, I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was prepared differently than other shrimp and grits I have had - The bell pepper relish on top of the grits gave the dish a well-balanced flavor. The portion size was large and I ended up taking almost half of my plate to-go. My partner ordered the salmon and loved it. I had a few bites and I'm usually picky with salmon, but agreed that this was cooked perfect. I enjoyed taking a few bites of the lentils that were a part of his dish as well!We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Nevada City!

Amazing venue and food. Service was excellent, smooth, perfect. Food was even better. Our “least best” thing was fantastic. Humboldt dog salad, walnut “pate” (more like hummus, but inspired us to think of new ways to use), colcannon, broccolini (delicious) and the budino. Sigh. I wish it was marriageable. Nothing wrong, everything right.

My friend and I had an outstanding dinner at Lola. I hadn't been there in a while, after moving away from Nevada City a few years ago. I remembered Lola being good, but this was on another level.Being admittedly a bit of a selective food lover, European background and all, this may have been one of the best meals I've had in my life (I'm 47).Starter (Pappardelle), entrée (Fried Chicken), dessert (Budino) were all so beautiful and delicious.Service was also great, attentive without being overbearing.
Had a wonderful dinner at Lola's. The service was friendly and fantastic and the food was authentic to French food. I also loved the Manhattan cocktail nice and heavy-handed!Also being a guest from out of town my stay at the National was like traveling back in time and I had a wonderful stay.
