Hands down the best sushi I've had in a very very long time. I would have never ordered an entire fish head but the Hawaiian Jack is unbelievably good. And so is every single thing else in the menu I've ever had. And don't skip on the shooters!
I was very happy to have found a great sushi place in NVC!!
Fantastic experience! We hadn’t been since the move to California Organics and on a whim, stopped to see if there was room. They fit us in, and the food was amazing as always. Our waitress, whose name escapes me (had adorable gold seashell earrings) was attentive and warm. You cannot go wrong with SiTR. Ps; their spicy miso is the best miso we’ve ever had!
It was a little weird for me not quite your regular sushi place. Miso soup was bomb but everything else was just really different. Just make sure to look at the menu online to commit. They dont have anything deepfried. Sushi in the ----RAW---
Dragon roll was fantastic!
Our first dinner at the new location. They may have transitioned to a new chef but this place has not skipped a beat. A huge menu full of unique items you won’t see elsewhere. Totally recommended.
This whole experience was absolutely amazing. Nicole our waitress had the best recommendations and knew everything about the menu and had been amazing recommending things for my 6year old. The food, every roll, appetizer, and spoons we tried tasted fantastic. The sea urchin was the freshest and most delightful flavor and texture. I 100% recommend this place, and will be eating here again. Love Love Love ❤
Me and my husband been there many times we
was there last Friday, the food was good we spend about $187.27 and we leave the tips $12.73 to make $200 even,a few day later I check my statement to I saw they charging us $217.27 on my account. Which means they put extra $17.27 ,the tip I leave $12.73 =$30 even, I call them to get explain and it a mistake maybe they has the same amount and put in wrong amount it doesn’t make sense for me why. I own the restaurant too and I know how to put tip money end of day like. I was disappointed and I will not going back, better check your statement and take the receipt.
Every new friend or out of town guest we have brought in to dine here has left extremely impressed and happy and cannot wait to return. It’s been my favorite restaurant for over a decade and remains so at the new location!

Tried to go here for sushi, but they wouldn't seat us without a reservation. The tables and bar were empty. The staff was extremely rude and pretentious. Will definitely not be back, was a waste of time and gas to drive here. Went to a much better and more friendly sushi restaurant.

I’ve eaten a lot of sushi, grew up in Japan, been to Nobu/Katana/good omakase places. The sushi here is pretty good and the fish (aside from the non wild caught salmon from Faroe Islands) is high quality.
That being said, the service was really weird. We came 10 minutes before our reservation (5:50). We were able to order miso soup and we received this in 15 minutes. We had a vegetarian at the table and she ordered some veggie rolls. Around 30 minutes later, they started bringing the rolls one by one spaced 15 minutes apart. The issue is that they only brought out the.vegetarian rolls, leaving everyone else at the table very hungry. I’ve sliced fish and made my own sushi before and I can assure you that it doesn’t take 45 minutes to slice some fish. We only got our food after we complained and the servers were passive aggressive and quite rude after we told them. One of the servers let us know that it’s a 2 hour “dining experience.” Some of us didn’t receive food until the second hour. Make it make sense.

Incredible food. This is my all-time favorite restaurant and you can’t beat the fresh/sustainably sourced ingredients, amazing drink/sake menu and kind staff. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Not the cheapest spot in the county for dinner, but one of the two best places to take your picky urban foodie guests for a meal. This place is better than many big city sushi restaurants, and is far less expensive than their big city rivals.
Quite a few vegetarian options, good wine list (and there is a grocery store next door, so they aren't likely to run out!), good service, average ambiance, great food.
Really about the only "complaint" is that you need to make reservations. If you decide today you want sushi there tonight you may be out of luck. But that it just a testament to how this place is EXCELLENT and a good value for what it is, and small.

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Multiple vegetarian sections on the menu. And the veggie sushi is really delicious and flavorful! It's not just a single cucumber in a roll like the veg option at most sushi places I've been to.
