The staff here are unbelievably ignorant and rude. Our order was ready and sitting out, yet we were left waiting another 15 minutes while the employees blatantly ignored us. They completely ignored us until I finally had to raise my voice at the counter. There’s absolutely no reason to make customers wait that long for something that’s ready. Never coming back here again.

I'm not exaggerating, but their cross-bridge rice noodle tastes even better than a lot of places in Yunnan, where the dish originates.
The owner (he's also the main chef I think) put so much effort into recreating the authentic flavor.
Let me give you an example. In Yunnan, the stem of a type of bulrush (建水草芽) is used in the broth. That of course is hard to find here, so they cleverly improvised and used asparagus instead, and it worked amazingly well.
Every sip of the broth brings back so much memories of my hometown.
But unsurprisingly they still can't defeat the curse of google map reviews: authentic international food never gets more than 4 stars 🤣

The rice noodles here are absolutely authentic and delicious—just like in Yunnan! The flavors are rich and comforting, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. The owner is very kind and welcoming, which makes the dining experience even better. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for genuine Yunnan rice noodles in the Bay Area!

This is a pretty good spot for Yunnan style food. It was my first time here and I decided to try the stewed pork ersi, which was very tasty, fresh, and well portioned. The spice level hit the spot just right and the noodles had a nice texture. The restaurant is pretty cozy with pleasant decor and also clean. One thing to note is that this place is cash only, so make sure to have some on you.
However, I will say I was quite taken aback by the waitress demanding a tip when I paid the bill. The staff were polite enough but the service wasn't really anything tipworthy in my opinion, and putting me on the spot by asking for a tip doesn't really help. I understand the staff depend on tips, and it wasn't a huge deal as I still paid a 10% tip after she told me to tip, but essentially forcing the customer to tip isn't a good practice since tips are supposed to be voluntary.
On the whole this restaurant is still worth checking out since the food is quite good and Yunnan style food is pretty hard to find around here. I'll definitely be coming back to try their crossing bridge noodles!

Comfortable food place. Soup is fresh and delicious. Rice noodles are in great quality.

Very condescending restaurant owner. Definitely not good service.

Constantly feel like they’re spying on the customers / eavesdropping on their conversations, especially when there are not many people dining in.

Runs out of noodle merely 1.5 hours after opening. For a place famous for its noodles. Just seems very unprepared and unprofessional. Also poor service and attitude. Very disappointed. We’ve been here for quite a few times over the past several years and we will be looking for other Yunan restaurants.

In the past 3 times I was there. The owner was yelling at the waitress I front of lots of customers. It made me feel uncomfortable and not pleasant when he did that.
They request to bring cash if u only order one noodle. So they suggest you to order the special which is noodle plus the apertizer so you can use the credit card.
One day. I forgot to bring cash. So I order the meal combo ..when i pay. The owner said please don't forget to bring cash. I was like I didn't even want to order the combo meal, because I thought that's the only way I could use my credit card base on what he suggested me previous visit. He just not a very nice boss and business man. I will never go there to support their business anymore.

The food is excellent, though quite pricey ($20 per person not including tips)

過橋米線 is especially ready good.

They only accept cash if your order is $20 or below, and always seem very busy and a bit understaffed.

Food is good. The owner is kind of rude and shows a bad attitude to customers.

This restaurant charged me an incorrect amount for the tip. I’m not sure if this was done by mistake or intentionally, but I suspect it might be the latter.

I used to drive a long way to this restaurant for the food, but I’m disappointed today, will never come back again. The owner is quite arrogant, he yelled at people working for him, making the atmosphere awkward and unpleasant. I just don’t feel comfortable.

I ordered the single-cook rice noodles (小锅米线) instead of Yunnan rice noodle's claim to fame, 过桥米线 (house special rice noodles). The rice noodle's texture tasted slightly different from my memory but still feels good. Flavor is closer to Sichuan than Yunnan where the shop is supposed to originate from. But that suites me well. The owner recommends the house special for my next visit. And my next visit will be very soon! (I am willing to give 5 stars even though I only had one dish that is not house special. I will update if the house special disappoints.)

Cloudland Rice Noodle has a small storefront, but is very visible in Cedar Center. I arrived shortly after 6pm on a weekend and got seated quickly. The owner says they had been here for 8 years although I felt that I had been in the mall more recently than that. Their interior decor is not elaborate, but very comfortable.

In the United States 🇺🇸 being able to eat cross-bridge rice noodles from my hometown is really a delicious food that relieves lovesickness. Thank you to the owner for carefully creating such a world-famous business card in a foreign country. Years of hard work have created miracles. We eat here often, it's very authentic and delicious. Thanks! 🙏
