A great Mexican restaurant in Newark CA! They do handmade corn tortillas, and they are good. The got them with a fish Filete Empanizado, and Ben had two excellent tacos, fish and carnitas. Nice salsa, excellent guacamole and Mexican rice. Like the Mexican restaurant you went to every week when you were growing up. Mariachis in the weekends.

La Cabana is rather unassuming from the outside, but we were quite impressed once our drinks and food arrived. The service was excellent, their margaritas were as good as any, especially their Jalapeño Margarita. Food was good.

I’m from out of town, business traveling from Reno & we chose this little hidden gem! The mole was the BEST mole I had EVER had in my life. The chicken would shred so easily, the rice has a HUGE kick of flavor! The hostess & waiter were very friendly & welcoming! Saved this restaurant for future visits!
