Perfect service and delicious cake!
Also, so such a peaceful spaces!
We played card and eat desserts 🍮
Thank you 🙏
A little pricey but it's worth
Lack of customer service. Rude cashiers. Won’t come back.
The biggest problem for me is that it marked everything “taro” but actually used a lot of purple yam for the ingredients. The flavor is very different. I like taro but not purple yam. Hope that they can avoid the false advertisement in the future
I went to the Newpark location and the employee didn’t greet me or offer to help me find what I was looking for. Most of the items are pre-packaged it doesn’t look like they are being baked fresh on-site like the bakeries in the city.
Friendly staff and high quality desserts. Highlight recommend!
I didn’t get want anything from the bakery at the moment since I had a pastry early morning, but I decided to give this place a try and try one of their milk teas. Milk Tea is alright, but some Ube didn’t blend in with the drink.
It seems like that the place is still renovating since there are no TVs turned on and that there are rarely any decorations. Some stuff I’m seeing should be put at the backend. I also saw pictures of a large grey teddy bear sitting on the chair, which is quite nice.
I’ll max this rating up for four stars at the time being since I didn’t get anything from the bakery. I’m hoping that this place improves soon. Also, some items I see from online such as cakes are not displayed at the display boxes. Perhaps, they are sold out? Remains a mystery at the moment.

surprise! You can also eat such delicious taro shredded pork bread in the Bay Area. The ingredients are very healthy. As soon as I got it, my two children and I devoured it in an hour... I will continue to want to try other flavors.
Kid-friendliness: The ingredients are very healthy and suitable for children

I rate their desserts as "weird" - they are too unsweet, all the desserts have no sugar at all, the cakes have no cake aroma, the cream is not sweet at all, and the mochi has no taste at all. No, the purple sweet potato is not sweet either. After eating it, I felt like what on earth did I eat? ? It's so weird

Impressed by everything I ate here. The egg tarts are special and have layers of red bean filling. I will definitely come back to get this and their pork floss breads.
A lot of menu is in Chinese, so it’s good to go by the pictures or go with a Chinese speaker.

Rola Bakery in Newark gets a solid 4 stars from me. First off, finding parking was a breeze. The bakery itself was pretty quiet during my visit, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy your treats on-site if you like.
The lady at the front desk was very polite and sweet. They prefer cash if your total is below a certain amount, so please carry some cash with you when visiting this bakery.
Speaking of treats, their egg tarts were delicious! The custard was perfectly smooth and silky, with just the right amount of sweetness. The egg flavor was there, but not overpowering, exactly how I like it. The crust was even better – flaky, tender, and perfectly golden brown on the outside. It struck that ideal balance of being slightly crisp without being crumbly.
Unfortunately, they were out of milk tea when I went, which was a bit of a bummer since I was really looking forward to trying it. On the pricing side, Rola Bakery leans a little pricier than some other bakeries, so be prepared for that.
Overall, Rola Bakery is a great option for grabbing some tasty treats. The egg tarts were fantastic, and the relaxed atmosphere was a plus. Just keep in mind they might be out of some items and their prices are a bit higher.

A charming local Asian bakery nestled in Newark!
The rose lychee crepe cake was a delightful treat--light, airy, and not overly sweet. Its fluffy layers of crepe were delicately sandwiched between whipped frosting, offering a refreshing indulgence.
Their taro cheese cakes were equally delightful, boasting a fluffy texture. It's worth noting that these are more akin to cheese cream cake sandwiches rather than traditional cheesecakes. Taro cream, interspersed with taro bits, provided a flavorful contrast to the light layers of cheese cream.
The egg tarts, while savory, had a distinct peppery flavor and a taller profile with a thicker crust. They leaned towards a richer, "eggier" taste compared to typical egg tarts. While they didn't quite match up to the sweetness of other desserts, they still offered a savory indulgence.
Despite visiting towards closing time, the items I ordered tasted remarkably fresh, devoid of any lingering "fridge" taste.
Service was prompt yet unhurried. The staff readily assisted me in navigating their menu, particularly with unique items like pork floss cakes and Oreo cakes. Their greeting was swift, and my order was swiftly prepared.
The café ambiance was simple and conducive to a quick bite rather than extended study or socialization. Despite its spacious seating arrangement, the café maintained a serene atmosphere, even during quieter moments.
I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit to sample more of their delectable pastries and treats!
