RAW FOOD! Be very careful when you eat the fried baos. This is our third time at this place and we were surprised to find one of the fried baos completely raw on the inside.The staff acted like nothing happened and offered to recook our dish. That’s fine, but I’d never come here again.

Xiaolong is comparable to Nanxiang Xiaolong, with thin skin and rich soup but not easy to break. Shengjian is similar to Xiaoyang Shengjian. It is made from dead noodles and has the same thin skin and juicy soup. Personally, I think it is one of the most authentic Shanghai fried dumpling restaurants in the United States.

Small, no frills authentic Shanghainese restaurant. Prices are very reasonable, service was quick, ambiance casual. The food was amazing! This is one of my favorite Shanghainese places and the Sheng jian bao were perfectly crispy on the bottom and juicy inside. More of a takeout than dine in place tbh, but they do have several tables inside. You order at the counter and the staff brings out your food to you.

Keep your receipt!! Or take a picture of your signed merchant receipt if you can, cuz they charge EXTRA for tips.Worse, they barely provide ANY service here, you have to go get your own water and even the plates and bowls, which, you have to go get them yourself, are those paper ones.

I found this place when I was driving nearby. My dad and I tried there & loved their dumplings & later my mom joined in and she loved it too! Became our favorite lunch. Workers are so friendly. We always enjoy their food & stop by q-tea monster for their boba drinks!
Not authentic Shanghainese style, all food seemed prepared by people from northern part of China. Worse, the vegetable buns are simply from a local supermarket. Nothing special.

If I can give Shanghai Bistro a 0 star I would because they are shady! They pre-charge for food so when my order came out to be $98, I wrote down $100 on the recipe at first, and then after dinner, I gave $15 in cash as tip. HOWEVER, I just checked my credit card statement and I was charged $108 by Shanghai Bistro. So they changed the "100" I wrote down to "108" by themselves! I would not recommend this fraudulent and rip-off restaurant to anyone

Was thinking to check out Shanghai bistro but they already locked up. Wonder if they have changed their operating hour. They closed at 8:15pm but the closing hour listed at 9pm.
