Tasty but understaffed.

Waitress works hard but the place is extremely short staffed. Waited 30min for the first dish, then 20min for the second. Portion is relatively small for the price.

Definitely an authentic Chongqing restaurant. Do not order vegetables though, what we had is bland.

The dry braised whole fish is the best in the Bay Area. I drive from South Bay every week just for that. So authentic! 🙌

Wei kitchen frog笼中蛙 is delicious, however the quality of the food is not stable, sometimes it is very good, but sometimes the meat quality is below average

The price is low, the food is tasty and the portion is large. We ordered a few and none is very spicy. The whole fish, black bass is very fresh and cooked with flavor. Smoked pork has strong smoke flavor. The husband-wife team is from Sichuan. The chef cooks slowly with care. Our cold beef mixture dish came out last after 40 minutes.

There is no minced meat in Chongqing noodles, only A vegetable and minced garlic. . . The stir-fried green beans were OK, but the twice-cooked pork didn’t have enough black bean sauce.

I spent my first 18 years of my life in Chongqing, and I’m confident to say that this is THE most authentic Chongqing food in the Bay Area.

If you're looking for authentic Sichuan cuisine at an unbeatable price, Spicy Kitchen is the place to go!

The food here is packed with the bold, spicy flavors you'd expect from true Sichuan dishes, and the prices are much more affordable compared to other restaurants. Every dish I've tried has been full of flavor and perfectly balanced in terms of heat. It's hard to find this level of authenticity without breaking the bank, but Spicy Kitchen delivers both! Highly recommend for anyone craving real Sichuan food!
