The Ultimate Deli Cafe & Catering

Got a pastrami sandwich and a corned beef sandwich. My partner got another sandwich with fried chicken.

Passion Fruit Tea was on par with what I expected

Issues:
- Food took 20+ minutes for 3 sandwiches. - - There was no one else in the restaurant.
The restaurant has no AC or they aren't using it - hot as heck.
- The digital menu is not well organized, confusing in organization and unclear (e.g. regarding combos for example). The pastrami sandwich, for example, allowed me to remove cole slaw and dressing. The corned beef had no such indication and therefore I got a sandwich that was not to my taste
- The sandwiches that we ordered (and this may be a result of not ordering something they specialize in) were bland and expensive for what we got.

I would not go again - that said, I could see my experience being a one off issue.

Amazing deli with a huge variety of both unique and simple flavors to chose from. I’ve been back 3 times in the span of less than a month, and the sandwiches have been consistently amazing, fresh, and filled.

The sandwiches were great! Definitely recommend trying out the Brisket Avocado and Crispy Chicken one. The bread is like Dutch bread so its soft and crunchy. Ask for hot sauce on the side, goes really well with it 🔥. Vibes are chill and easy parking.

This is arguable the best deli in the East Bay. Meat is amazing and seasoned perfectly with flavorful spices, the service owner is an awesome guy who gave me soda on the house and the place has nice vibes.

If you’re someone like me who runs on caffeine and comfort food, The Ultimate Deli Cafe & Catering is an absolute gem.
Their coffee hits the spot, and the halal cold-cut and warm sandwiches are genuinely comforting—the kind that feel like they were made with care, the way your mum would make them. Fresh bread, generous fillings, and delicious sides that don’t feel like an afterthought.
What I love most is that it feels like home. It’s the kind of place I enjoy going to with my family—easy, welcoming, and satisfying without trying too hard. And honestly, sometimes a good soup and sandwich is the ultimate comfort food.
I also appreciate the variety. It’s a refreshing break from the usual Pakistani, Indian, or Italian options—not because those cuisines aren’t amazing (they absolutely are), but because sometimes you just want something simple, warm, and familiar.
Prices are excellent, portions are solid, and the vibe is cozy and relaxed.
I’d happily go again and again.

Went here with neutral expectations. Lunch was $40 for two people, so we were a bit concerned - but we were in town in a business trip and needed to eat, so we just went with it. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Huge portions, delicious food, and the owner was welcoming and kind. No one wants to spend good money on bad food or small portions. Thankfully, that wasn't the case and we would go back again in a heartbeat. This is a fantastic deli. A+
