Chicken Katsu Curry: curry too sweet not flavorful. Curry was in a separate bowl and another bowl had room temperature rice with the katsu. Why? Katsu was the only thing in the meal good but not for the price. Your paying for atmosphere.

Not bad, good spot to wine down. If you are a wine connoisseur who likes to brag about it, this is not your spot.

The skewers are super salty!
Also had the red vocano, the seaweed crisp is super oily, and tuna on tap was really salty.
Not good Japanese fusion.

Our first time here. The atmosphere was a true delight! The fusion is in the decor as well as the food selection. Food was excellent... particularly the Mushroom Risotto. It is much better than others that I've had at Italian restaurants! The service from Henry (Di-Ha) was top-notch! We will be back when we have more time to chill and enjoy the wine.

Vegetarian options: Veggie Tempura, Mushroom Risotto & many more!

Ambience is wonderful, but the food is really average. I also had to wait almost an hour for my unagi, which meant it arrived after everyone else at the table was about done eating. The unagi also wasn’t good- lacking freshness and its own taste and hence doused in sauce. For sure not worth $26.They did have roses on the tables for Mother’s Day, which was so sweet.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with kids.

Very expensive and not real Japanese foods. Sorce is too sweet and overpriced too much

Below average service. Felt the waiter for judgemental. Asked him to clear drink menus off the table. He didn't do it. Said let it be there. The table was super small to fit huge bento boxes. Served bento box without asking if we need chopsticks. Gave forks directly. Asked for warm cake, served a room temperature cake. We ate it as it is. While leaving told him it wasn't warm. Instead of apologizing, he rudely said, "You should have told me before eating". Food was mediocre to taste as well.

There was no sushi chef and several menu items were not available or missing ingredients. The food we were able to order was good.

The price point was intimidating, but I must say they delivered and the experience eating here was perfect. The risotto with shrimps was the highlight for me!For a party of two, we ordered:Assorted tempura - classic and hit the spot. They gave plenty of assorted vegetables with the shrimp.Garlic edamame - recommended by the server and it was very goodSashimi moriawase - it was pretty good quality, but not a wow factorVinum reserve flight - I liked the Duckhorn and Caymus red schoonerWhite wine sangria - plenty of fruit and good tasteWhite volcano - recommended by server and was very goodMushroom risotto shrimp - highly, highly recommend thisTrio skewers - I always love yakitori, so this was pretty good. I would order again if I come back. The vibes here are nice with a dimly lit setting and the decor is very warm. The portions were generous and worth the price. This is located in Newpark, which is a newer plaza, so it's very clean and there's a ton of parking.Vinum seems like the perfect place to unwind since they occasionally have live jazz music and wine tasting events. We just missed the jazz music, since they had a wine tasting event earlier. The menu is extensive with all the Japanese fusion fare you would look for. Everything was delicious and great quality. Service was excellent-- server was friendly and provided perfect recommendations.TLDR: The risotto definitely stood out and I liked the Vinum reserve wine flight

Upon arriving at Vinum, we were met with an unexpected delight. We initially set foot there with the simple intention of wine tasting, only to discover that this establishment offers so much more. To our pleasant surprise, Vinum boasted a culinary side that we were previously unaware of, further elevating our experience. The ambiance of the restaurant struck a chord of sophistication and warmth. Each dish we tasted was a testament to the chef's dedication to flavor and presentation. While every dish left a memorable impression, one in particular stood out above the rest: the charred unagi handrolls. These handrolls were nothing short of culinary artistry. Their exquisite balance of flavors complemented the Pinot Noir wines we savored, creating a symphony of taste that danced delightfully on our palates. For those who, like us, might be unsure of which wine to choose, Vinum offers a wonderful solution: a flight of wines. This allows you to explore a range of their finest selections, ensuring you find the one that resonates most with your taste preferences. In conclusion, our visit to Vinum was not just a wine-tasting trip but an exploration of refined culinary pleasures. We left with palates gratified, hearts full, and a newfound appreciation for this gem in the heart of wine country.
