November 1, 2025: Day 2 of my Halloween adventure ended at this restaurant and thank goodness it did. I love ramen, but the servers made the experience even better.
My son, my nephew, and I drove all the way to Newpark to attend Fear Overload. For the price, it was fine, but the travel? I wouldn’t suggest, we came all the way from San Francisco.
Either way, we had only 35 minutes left to eat at Yugo, and I thought we were going to be turned away. Thankfully, we were welcomed in and allowed to eat and enjoy some tea.
The waitress mentioned they closed at 9:00 p.m., it was around 8:25 p.m., but we decided to take our chances. The tea arrived quickly, within about 3 minutes, and the ramen followed just eight minutes later. It took us about 20 minutes to finish our meal, and we enjoyed every bite.
One of the waitresses even took the time to show my nephew how to use chopsticks, which I thought was very kind. My son has known how to use them since he was six, thanks to a kind South Korean lady we met during our travels.
I wanted to thank the restaurant again for allowing us to dine while they were closing. These are the small acts of kindness that help build a sense of community.

The milk tea was super watery, with no tea flavor at all. The boba was fine, though. Please let me know once it’s improved, I’d be happy to come back and try it again. Really looking forward to having good boba tea here!!!

Yugo Ramen in Newark, CA, is a go-to spot for delicious, flavorful food, with highlights like the rich and creamy signature Yugo Ramen, crispy chicken karaage, and refreshing boba drinks such as taro slush and brown sugar milk tea. Portions are generous, the flavors are consistently satisfying, and the experience is made even better by the warm, friendly service from Joey and Tristan, who are known for making guests feel welcome and cared for. It’s a place where great food and great people come together for a memorable meal.

A hidden gem for ramen and donburi on the upper level of the Newpark mall! This place has been my go-to for ramen and boba for several years, and has always had consistently great quality for both food and service. Portion sizes are larger than you'd expect and definitely filling no matter what you get.

Recommended dishes: Chicken Karaage, Okonomiyaki Fries, Chicken Katsu Don, Yugo Ramen and Miso Ramen
I just tried the miso ramen. I asked the waiters to change the pork broth to chicken, which they agreed to and were attentive. The ramen was very good. I like it spicy, so I ordered it with a spicy twist. The combination was very pleasant; both flavors stood out. I would highly recommend it.

We ordered from the catering menu which was very worth its price getting the Pork fried Rice, Edamame and Chicken Karage! The service was also very delightful with lots of recommendations and kindness.

I recently discovered Yugo Ramen at NewPark Mall in Newark, and I’m already hooked! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was bright, clean, and inviting—exactly what you want when you’re craving ramen.
The Yugo Ramen signature bowl is an absolute standout—with a rich, creamy pork broth, house-made noodles, tender chashu pork, perfectly soft-boiled egg, and flavorful toppings like bamboo shoots and black garlic oil. Everything blended beautifully into one unforgettable bowl.
Appetizers like the gyoza and chicken karaage were delightful—crispy, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal. I also appreciated the wide range of drinks—unique slushes, and refreshing teas, but my favorite out of all of them was the “Let your Man-go”
Service was warm and welcoming—the staff genuinely made me feel at home, especially Mark, Julius, and Joseph. The spacious seating area meant it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal
Overall, Yugo Ramen delivers on flavor, variety, and ambiance. A must-visit whether you’re a ramen aficionado or just in search of a satisfying, cozy bite. Highly recommend it—I’ll definitely be back!
