The pros: beautiful location, friendly service. The cons: price, quality. We used to enjoy coming here but it's been a few years. This most recent trip was extremely disappointing. I think it's extremely bad service to not comp a wine tasting with a bottle purchase. The entire point in me going to do a wine tasting is to decide which bottles I'd like to take home. When we inquired about the fee waiving, they stated that "due to Covid and rising costs they can't waive bottle fees anymore"???? I have never been to a winery that had this practice in place. Thats absolutely crazy. The $15 a tasting that you got from me for a few extremely stingy splashes of wine pale in comparison to the amount that we were about to spend on bottles but since they show such disregard to their clientele in their new practices, we won't be back and won't recommend this place to friends in the area anymore. Hope they re-examine this newer policy and it might win us and our recommendations back.

I've been here several times in the 10 years that I've lived in the area. Both service and wines have been inconsistent. I would've still recommended to others (everyone's palette is different as are personal experiences), but owner is apparently anti-LGBTQ+. I refuse to give my business to them anymore. Will no longer recommend. Too many other wineries on the Placer Trail to choose from.

We stop by here on the Placer Valley Wine Trail and we were looking for a place to get a membership at. Overall, the tasting room was cute and it was clear that they had attention to detail when decorating. I personally did not enjoy the wine as much as the other places that we tasted at. I think the contributing factor was the awkwardness of doing the tasting because it was super busy and crowded.

My husband and I first tasted their Petite Sirah at one of our favorite restaurants. I was absolutely blown away with how excellent this wine was. So much so, that I found the winery, joined the wine club and ordered a case of this wine. I have now enjoyed one each selection of the last shipment and again, so impressed with the quality of wine. I was born and raised on a ranch that had 40 acres of wine grapes and have been enjoying good wines for over 50 years. Dono dal Cielo is the real deal. Fine wines for medium prices. Good people and excellent wine makers.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy some wine and the beautiful property! They are open Thursday- Sunday from 12-5pm .They are kid and dog friendly. They have plenty of seating inside and outside . You can also bring your own lawn chairs and just hang out . On certain days, they have food trucks and live music . You are always welcome to bring your own snacks. The property is beautiful it just makes me feel very relaxed like I just escaped and went somewhere else like Calistoga! The decor is very cute and rustic I love it ! The staff is friendly and attentive .They have wine tasting available everyday they are open.I seen reviews of people complaining about this place being dog and kid friendly I don't see how that would bother anyone. That's actually something that I like about this place.! I been here with my kids and they love the property they love to just play around and make new friends . I have also been here with just my husband and I on a date night and it was wonderful as well. I love to see my fur friends when I come to this property super cute !! Overall we always have a great time can't wait to go back !

Such a great winery to visit in close proximity to Sacramento county. A gorgeous property, yet unpretentious for a relaxed outing. You'll often find some tasty food vendor as well as musical entertainment. Zinfandel is their specialty but you'll also have plenty of other varietals to choose from.

Very crowded. Nice outside area, lots of children running around screaming. Not a great place for a date or a parents day without the kids. Saw quite a few parents letting there children tasting their wine, really I would think that the winery would get in trouble for THAT! Big party place, children's party that is. Wines ok. I was so turned off I couldn't enjoy the wines.
