Best chai ever found! We used to make it own at home then we found this and there's no going back to home....
North Fork Chai Co is a wonderful local place for coffee, chai, tea, and some food. We stopped on our way to a day of paddle boarding and got iced coffees, a scone, and avocado toast. All were wonderful! They have a nice selection of food and drinks. Also, they have fresh sourdough bread (really good!!) and quite a few other fun items. Very nice seating areas. Easy access and parking from the 80 right at Indian Hill.
Highly recommended. Enjoy!!

Speaking of 'gem of the foothills' , North Fork Chai Co. has definitely placed itself among the treasures found in Newcastle,
California. As we all take on our daily grind, what better way to start as with North Fork. I love my morning exchanges Judah as he takes my order. I want to try other drinks but the coffee 'the answer' has hold of me. Josh is amazing and is expert at his craft. It shows. What a gem of a place!

I’ve been wanting to visit North Fork Chai Co. in Newcastle for a while now! Many of my favorite local coffee shops use North Fork’s chai syrup, and it’s my go-to for making dirty chais at home—so I was excited to finally stop by.
My wife and I visited today for coffee and some treats, and it did not disappoint. I ordered their seasonal Coconut Chai flavored dirty chai, and it had just the right amount of coconut flavor—smooth, balanced, and delicious. I paired it with their avocado toast, which was fresh and satisfying. My wife had the Breakfast Brioche Sandwich, and it was packed with flavor.
We couldn’t resist trying a couple of scones: the strawberry apricot scone and the vanilla bean scone with dirty chai glaze. Both were perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth—moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness.
The location itself is inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine. Inside, they offer a variety of goods to take home, from teas and jams to coffee beans, mugs, and more.
Overall, we had a great experience sitting out front, enjoying our sunny morning. Their chai syrup alone is enough to make me love this place, but after this first visit, I’m even more excited to return!

My husband and I finally got to visit North Fork Chai this morning and it was amazing!!! We got the signature chai which was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Not overly sweet and had all of the spice you expect from a great chai. The breakfast sandwich and burrito were both delicious and the chipotle aioli spread was so flavorful, definitely get extra for dipping! Last but not least, we split a strawberry oat crumble scone…so fresh, lightly crispy and with a buttery tender crumb. Needless to say we will be back as often as we can!
Anytime I’m driving up to Truckee, or just making my way that way, I will stop by NorthFork Chai. As the name says, they are known for their chai (and even sell it as a concentrate!), but do NOT sleep on their breakfast! Especially their breakfast sandwich. When you order the breakfast sandwich, it’s like a build-your-own, and they have different greens, cheeses, and spreads to choose from. You can also add avocado or meat for additional charge. They sell a bunch of their homemade ingredients in their cafe as well, which I love browsing through. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area, or going out of your way (it’s worth it!)
A great locally owned coffee and tea house. Out of the way, but worth it for the quality and lower prices. They make their own chai, and the best scones in the region!

Amazing place, amazing owners! and best spot in all placer county !
Like a hug in your mug.
This place is incredible! From their barista pulling perfect espresso shots, to the beautiful latte art he pours while in a casual conversation. Their food they sell is fantastic. I haven’t tried it all but I love the vinegars and of course the Chai. First timers go for the dirty Chai. You won’t regret it! And in PSL season go for the Pumpkin Chai.
No indoor seating so chilly morning sunrises are cozy with everyone in line trying to stay warm. And bring a big blanket to wrap up in on the front porch.
My wishlist:
Outdoor heaters for their cute outdoor space
Gluten free food options, they have a very limited selection
Soy milk

The chai and food are bomb, the hours are not. I understand the wholesale aspect, but what local shops sell your scones and food?
