Chari’s ensaymada brings back Filipino family traditions[falling in line at 4am to pick up ensaymada in Binondo for Noche Buena - Xmas & NY]. Unang kagat namin mag-asawa, napaluha kami. “This is a wonderful, family run establishment. We come up from Culver City just so my wife can have treats at this bakery (usually after a hike). The people who run it are super friendly and their artwork in spiritually inspiring-just beautiful all around.“

“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“I personally love crumble when it first came out. I was never given a chance to try it but then I tried it for the first time and I was blown. I think that it’s absolutely amazing and I cannot get the crumble flavors of the week every week when I do, I am very grateful because I’m always super excited to see what new crumble flavors crumbles came out with every week on Sunday. “My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. Honestly everything we had was delicious and the kids kept asking for the pepperoni pizza and mini pizzas.“

“I come by here at least once a week, the bread and pastries are baked fresh daily and the workers always treat you like family. It doesn't look like much from outside but it's my go-to local bakery. I would highly recommend the jalapeno bread with creme cheese, but come early because they run out often by noon.“

We did a custom heart cake for my 30th and a carrot cake for my mom and they were excellent!
The custom heart cake had Chocolate Chip Vanilla Bean and safe to say, that’s my new favorite! We’ve had the black and white cake before and that was a hit too!

“My wife wanted to stop by here to pick up a cake for her aunt birthday. This 85C is inside a big plaza so there are a lot of parking spots here. This store is small so be aware of this because they won't have as much pastries as other bigger 85C stores. When we walked inside, my wife went to see if they had the jalapeno cheese but they did not. We then went to look at their cake options and they didn't have much to select from. She ended up getting the strawberry deluxe cake and they give out a happy birthday sign and candles for free. The employee was nice during the interaction we had with him while ordering the cake.

“My wife ordered a custom cake for our baby shower here. She chose this place because it's nearby and the price was reasonable. Since we're having another baby shower she wanted to get another cake from here but with a different theme. The first cake theme was Minnie mouse while the second cake theme is now teddy bear.

When she did the Minnie mouse cake, it was a three tier cake and they delivered it to us. For our second baby shower, the cake will be two tier but they told us they only deliver for three tier cakes only. Our guest enjoy the first cake we had so I'm pretty sure they'll enjoy this teddy bear cake as well.“

Jeanette, the kindest, most thoughtful person on the planet took my order and included an amazing array of vegan cookies and 2 vegan mini breads, gift wrapped it up with a lovely ribbon and shipped it out for my friend to get it on his birthday. He absolutely loved everything, but he said the vegan lemon cookies and the mini carrot cake were real stand-outs (and he's very discerning when it comes to desserts!). I’m not vegan or gluten-free or anything like that, but after working out I crave something on the healthier side but still want it to taste great. Luckily I found Blossoms Sweet Kitchen and ordered their chocolate date bowl. OMG this was delicious. Tasted like dessert. The ingredients are such high quality, I honestly didn’t expect that out in an SCV food hall. And the bowl was beautiful too, just as advertised. I went back a week later and tried their mango gold smoothie. OMG again! Best mango smoothie ever. Tasted so fancy with the black peppercorn and turmeric and was just absolutely delightful. Def check this place out, it is incredible!“
