The Clam chowder had only potatoes, no clams, the shrimp scampi were called and overcooked, the swordfish was very good, excellent . The service was very good !

Massive noise in the bar area dining room make conversation a bit loud. Food is excellent. Servers gracious. Matre d and front checkin shockingly not welcoming and the snob vibe doesn't sit well from this Michelin diner whose used to common courtesy. Steaks and seafood great. Desserts very good Views hit and miss unless you're very specific in advance in writing. Overall very good with some management flaws as fine dining hosts.

We went to celebrate our friend's bday. Everything went well, food was delicious, the view was really nice since it's close to the beach. Our waiter was welcoming and kind, with good suggestions of the menu. We had a great time!

We always enjoy the old school ambiance of Ocean 21. The service is relaxed and gracious, and the food is consistently great. The interior is the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant, and frames a perfect view of the beach and ocean, particularly at sunset.

For people who eat out at 5star whether they like. This restaurant is perfect to have a nice quiet night with the family or date night and get impeccable food, and desserts. They just need to work on the cocktails.

Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Super cozy inside, with great ocean views if you go during the day. Service was great, and the swordfish and filet mignon were outstanding. Also had live music.

One star only because zero stars isn’t an option.

We had a reservation for 8:00 PM, yet upon arrival there was no table available. Instead, we were told to stand and wait outside, which completely defeats the purpose of having a reservation.

The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. He spoke to guests while pointing his finger, and when my friend and I tried to explain the situation together, instead of addressing the issue, he questioned why we were speaking at the same time.

What was even more unacceptable was his attitude toward guests whose first language is not English. He repeatedly said “I cannot understand” in a dismissive manner, despite the communication being clear, which came across as disrespectful and racially biased. This kind of behavior is completely inappropriate, especially in a state as diverse as California.

This restaurant clearly tries to present itself as upscale, but it is severely lacking the cultural awareness, professionalism, and service standards expected of a fine dining establishment.

I strongly suggest that anyone considering this place read through the one-star reviews first. You’ll quickly understand how poor the service, attitude, and management truly are.

In the 7 years I’ve been frequenting this place I have not once had a bad or even mediocre experience. Everything is done thoughtfully: the service is excellent, the decor/ambiance/vibes are cozy, warm and inviting. The food and drinks are seriously next-level. If it’s your first time, please go on a Friday or a Saturday night, get yourself a seat at the bar and enjoy live music, a perfect (slightly dirty) Hendricks martini with 2 blue cheese olives and an order of escargot. You’re welcome.

We went for our anniversary and got there in time to see the beautiful sunset from the bar! Great cocktails and the food was amazing! We had the pork chop and the sea bass and we loved them both. Our waiter Roberto so friendly and professional.

Always a great time dining here. Love seeing the restaurant still thriving. Since the first time we dined here 10+ yrs ago still feels and looks amazing. Along with the staff still remembering us every time we return. Definitely 5 stars in my book.

We had a wonderful experience during our first visit to this restaurant. Even without a reservation, we were welcomed warmly, and the overall hospitality was excellent. The food was amazing, and we truly enjoyed the beautiful view, it’s a great place to dine.
However, I would like to offer one recommendation. It would be helpful for the staff to clarify what is included in certain dishes. We ordered the “Grilled Cauliflower Steak,” but there is no actual steak in the dish. While the flavor was excellent, the description was unclear, and a simple explanation from the waitress would have prevented any confusion.
Overall, we enjoyed our visit and appreciate the great service and ambiance.
