Took at least 10 minutes to be greeted by the server, which was surprising. Food and drinks were fantastic, great atmosphere. Had to ask about the menu and what was recommended vs being told about it and what they recommended.

This is become one of my favorite restaurants in Orange County. I like this spot better than the original in Newport Beach. That's because it's a little larger space and that's so jampacked all the time but there's still a nice vibe but a good crowd. I always get the spicy tuna and it comes on a eggplant cracker. That's just delicious. Seabass is really good and they have great steaks and the pork chop is out of this world.

Within the past two years this restaurant has been nothing short of first class, and seems to get better every time! The valet parking is great, the reception and seating is first class so as the service and the dinning! The care is evident throughout. The drinks, the food is one of the best in the area! I highly recommend this gem without hesitation!

Lamb chops were thin and overcooked. I've had better at our local takeout Greek restaurant. Served on a bed of humus was kinda weird. Sea bass was tasty but really small for $65.00. Wine was served 5 minutes after the entre came out. Steak tartar was good. Apple tart was really good. Service forgot about the birthday I notified them of. Did not come close to living up to the standards of a high end restaurant they pretend to be.

Again enjoyed coming here for the live music by Adelaide, the excellent service by Michael and the most delicious vodka pasta! Also football game was on and was a fun crowd!

Great dinner... thought the sauce for the halibut was a bit much and our Caesar salad was not grilled. However, the skirt steak, burger, oysters, and remaining dishes were excellent. Branzino is amazing however it should be better de- boned.

Great service and food! Everything we ordered was delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The only downside was how dark it got once the sun went down — the lights were dimmed a bit too much, making it hard to see. I even heard the ladies' room was nearly pitch black after the lights were lowered. Maybe keep it a touch brighter in the evenings?
Excellent service and food. Had the clam chowder, whipped feta and tuna on eggplant. All very good. Seasonal sour cocktail had a light taste. Enjoyed the black martini.

We usually love dining at CDM and at the original A Restaurant — both consistently deliver excellent food and service. The bar service at A Restaurant Crystal Cove is always outstanding. Unfortunately, the table service really missed the mark this visit. Our server wasn't particularly busy; he just seemed more interested in chatting with other staff than taking care of guests. He rarely checked on us throughout our dinner and missed the basics, like bringing steak knives with our steaks — we had to ask two different people before getting them. We also had to ask twice for the bread we ordered. Overall, the service felt inattentive and disappointing, which is very uncharacteristic of the River Jetty Group, known for their usually exceptional hospitality.

Third time in a row that the food was almost sent back. Unfortunately I won't be coming back to either Newport or crystal cove location. The ambience is great, service good, food, really bad when you're paying that price.
