Great place to grab breakfast. We walked over and grabbed a table on a Saturday morning without wait . Dog friendly was a plus due to we have 3 dogs (small) . Cozy little spot . Enjoy My friends

I’ve been here a couple times and really enjoyed it both times. I have some outstanding drinks and, believe it or not, the broccoli is some of the best I have ever had and seems many others feel the same. Forgot to take photos of the main courses, but everyone really enjoyed their omelettes and I enjoyed my fruit bowl. It is right next to the beach and sits on the main strip on Balboa Island.

This place was very sub par. The service was slow. We were sitting for at least 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. The food was not worth the money. Save yourself the visit and go to Woody's!
Whoever is giving this 4.5 stars must be starving and have 2 hours to eat a mediocre breakfast. Go to woodys. Hard as rock toast, long wait, and a disgusting bathroom.

The food isn't bad but the service is horrible. They say they have gluten free options then don't let you replace bread with anything. Of course they don't charge less when you don't get the bread. Got cold coffee twice because they pour it and don't bring it right away because they are too busy socializing with each other.

Avoid this place like your life depends on it - because it just might.
First of all, the service here was the worst I've ever seen; once our orders were taken it took forever for our drinks to come (served in dirty glasses, complete with little floating things in the water), then almost an HOUR for the food to come and several dishes were cold. We never saw the waitress again, and when we were done, they never came to collect the payment, so my husband had to go track them down to take our money (and when he did, all the employees were just standing around talking and doing nothing).
Now I've been up all night with food poisoning from this place, so who knows how long the food was just sitting around or if it was even cooked properly, because if the service staff was that bad, I can't imagine what the people preparing the food are like.
Do yourself a favor and skip this waste of time and save yourself an ER bill.

I was in a bit of a time crunch and they were able to serve me right away. Quick service, great food, and the price was okay as well. The employees were very polite and courteous. Nice place for a quick bite between activities in the area!
