EXCELLENT SERVICE ! My wife and I were doing some shopping at Fashion Island late on Friday afternoon. After finishing up our shopping at around 4.30pm we were thinking of heading outside the mall to grab some dinner. BUT THEN ! We really don't know the eateries here at all but we have had good dining experiences at Bazille ( inside Nordstrom ). My wife liked my suggestion...why leave the mall for dinner and hit bumper to bumper traffic on a Friday afternoon. FOND MEMORIES ! In fact a few years back we enjoyed a sensational dinner at Bazille in La Jolla. My wife still remembers her Lobster Mac & Cheese and I totally loved my Seared Scallops. And dessert was sensational....hard to beat Chocolate Paradise Cake and Maple Apple Cobbler. FIRST TIME HERE ! So we arrived here around 4.45pm and Alexander the host gave us a warm welcome. First up we asked him to point us to the restrooms ? After that we settled at a comfy table away from the open entrance. Soon after a friendly server named Jeff stopped by to help us. We had been checking out the menus incl the dessert menu. THINGS CHANGE ! The menu was vastly different from our last visit to a Bazille location 2 years ago. I ordered a Clown Shoes "Galactica Socal Citra" West Coast Style IPA....something new and a Crisp Calamari Starter. Meanwhile my wife decided on a Roasted Turkey & Avocado Club Sandwich and I went with the Nordstrom Burger with Fries option instead of Salad. My ice cold can of beer and a chilled glass arrived courtesy of Jeff. The IPA tasted surprisingly good and was very refreshing ! Soon after my huge Crisp Calamari Starter hit the table...it looked pretty good and tasted alright. Before we knew it my wife's Roasted Turkey & Avocado Club Sandwich arrived followed quickly by my big fat Nordstrom Burger with seasoned French Fries. Around this time Giselle the manager dropped by to say hello. We mentioned some of the delicious items we had tried that were no longer featured on the menu...Giselle remembered the Lobster Mac & Cheese, Seared Scallops, Chocolate Paradise Cake and Maple Apple Cobbler....all gone ! My wife thought her club sandwich tasted pretty good and I didn't mind my burger with its huge beef patty ( I thought ). After reading the ingredients in more detail I saw that it was a Beyond Beef Patty....fake beef is not my thing. DESSERT ! Nothing really exciting or tempting on the dessert menu so we gave it a big miss. Being big Nordstrom fans it's such a shame the menu has been dumbed down in here !

Situated conveniently within Nordstrom, this restaurant provides the perfect spot for a quick meal after shopping. The food is decent, offered at reasonable prices with slightly smaller portions. Brussel appetizer was outstanding and our lime cilantro & mango salads (with salmon) were delicious. Perfect with our Perrier Jouet :). Never a line. Quality food with friendly service. Pet friendly restaurant. I like Philly’s sandwich and Spicy wild shrimp pomodora. I have a teen boy who only eat chicken strips kid’s meal. He is a big teen now and this restaurant still allow him to order kids meal.

This was our first visit and we were really impressed. Our server was amazing. The Crab Bisque was some of the best we have ever had. My salad and my husbands salmon were excellent. Our server brought samples of two of the soups which was really a pleasant surprise. We have had really good experiences with the restaurants in Nordstrom's at Fashion Island, Del Amo Mall and South Coast Plaza.

The server, manager and chef each came to our table multiple times to check on ingredients. They were so kind and accommodating. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
My mom used to bring me to Nordstrom cafe when I was a kid (now Bazille in this location) as a special treat when we went shopping. I see why! I brought my kids here yesterday for lunch and the food, service and value was amazing. We had the seasonal berry salad, spicy shrimp pasta and Mac and cheese for the kids. Everything was perfect, better than I remembered. Will definitely be back.
The patio is an oasis for those of us who prefer to be away from the dazzle of the rest of the mall. Service is always attentive, prices are moderate and the menu is perfect for a leisurely lunch. Unfortunately this time someone was vaping in a corner. There should be no smoking of any sort allowed in the patio, and it should be enforced.

My husband and I have always appreciated Nordstrom restaurants for their superb dishes and excellent service in an often Zen-like environment. In fact, we have experienced quite a few around the USA, much to our delight. Today, we took a chance and brought part of our extended family--25 members in all--to Bazille in Newport Beach (on the store's first level). Nordstrom: You continue to impress us with your personable, professional, and perfect service. Even though we made our reservation (originally for ten) last-minute the day before and kept adding to our party until after we arrived, you remained calm and patient. (It's how my family sometimes rolls: We never know exactly what the final count will be, and it takes a professional staff to accommodate patrons with such care and consideration.) Our waiter Matthew (July 30, 2023) and the staff and manager who supported him were outstanding at bringing our individual meals (after drinks and appetizers) in a timely manner; every dish was as tasty as it was well-presented. Thank you, Bazille, for making our family day memorable!

The food & service were great. The open kitchen noise was horrible! We sat 3/4ths if the restaurant away from it and hearing metal pans banging and crashing constantly really took away from the lovely restaurant experience

My favorite is the caesar salad but really miss the anchovies. I know the white anchovies are so expensive but they can serve the regular anchovies. Also ask if the customer wants them or not. The salad is not the same without the anchovies!!! So disappointed

Excellent, team based service. Cilantro lime chicken tacos were fairly good but extremely little. Kung pao brussel sprouts came out at room temp and were unimpressive. Told my server and he was happy to bring out a new, hot serving. Much better and changed my opinion of the dish. Liked the sauce and the chicken that was part of the dish. My son had a crispy chicken sandwich which was really good and his fries had a nice raspberry? dipping sauce. Star of the meal, however, was the bread pudding. Bread pudding had shaved white chocolate and was just plain delicious.
