We went on a Saturday night and sat on the patio. Ambience was fantastic. Heat lamps to keep you warm. Food was delicious, service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

What a great afternoon seaside with one of the best lunches around. We had the pork shank with gnocchi with a squash purée as an appetiser. We also had a side Caesar salad a roasted beef and citrus salad along with cookies and cream cheesecake and pumpkin pie. Everything was absolutely superb.  the service was on point we can't wait to return.

This place operates in an absolutely outrageous and completely unacceptable manner. We had a reservation at A+O Restaurant at Balboa Bay Resort. Our total bill was $378.20, and we intentionally left a tip to round it up to $400—that was the amount we authorized and agreed to pay. Later, we discovered that our card was charged $500. When I called to ask what was going on, they sent me a receipt—a falsified receipt showing a total of $500, with an altered amount and a completely fake signature that is NOT mine. I never signed that receipt, yet someone on their staff clearly forged my signature and changed the total. This is blatant fraud and a criminal act! They are liars, so be careful with them. And to make matters worse, they never admitted to their wrongdoing.

First post-season playoff game Dodgers v. Padres so it was a little noisy in the bar and we were seated indoors as it was foggy and breezy outside. Water came in quickly, server asked about drinks soon after and we were treated to a great evening from then on. Surprised with the fried deviled eggs appetizer (really good) and our individual meals were very tasty and plated well. Dessert choice of peach cobbler,Ii expected a bit more than the small bit in a ramekin, but the ice cream made it special. All in all a really good experience.

Some of the best service I've had in a long time. Party of 4 on the patio, cool night but heaters made it comfortable. Food was very good, from apps to dessert but the attentive and knowledgeable service made the night.

Food, service and ambiance was all great. We ordered fish tacos as the ever-popular fish and chips had disappeared from the menu, strange as beer battered cod featured in the fish tacos and of course they have fries!

Great evening as always at A+O! Date night with the wifey. Our server Deanna was excellent. We ordered espresso martini's from the bar and they were spot on. Sunset Roll sushi was so good. Highly recommend! Filet for our dinner entree was cooked just right. Manager Chris came by our table to ensure that we were being well taken care of. Live music was a bonus. We are local and this is one of our favorite spots to dine. Enjoying the harbor views and beautiful boats is a bonus.

Excellent from valet arrival to valet departure..and everything in between. Hostess super outgoing and happy to greet us. Server, Sonia I believe was her name...amazing service provided...recommendations and just fun and attentive. Food and cocktails, very good. Location, you can't beat it.
Always a great meal with a superb atmosphere and great service! Wish you could get breakfast longer on weekends but the fish tacos and lobster roll were scrumptious. Love living here and feeling like I am in vacation whenever I dine here. Can't wait for our next A&O date.

The Caesar salad was fine - I wish I had an opportunity for fresh cracked pepper and I wasn't a fan of the massive and soft croutons. The fries accompanying the A+O burger were good and I can't speak to the burger as I didn't order it. The espresso martini was delicious while the specialty spritz was fine but great on a warm day. Our server was incredibly inattentive and kept waiting for non-verbal cues rather than actually speaking to us. For example, he'd walk by our table of empty water and raise his eyebrows in question after finally getting my eye contact while I was in a conversation. Ironically, we never got our water filled even after nodding to what I had thought was a non-verbal question on water but may have been a "you doing good?". Next time, please just speak, I don't know you well enough to figure out what you're trying to say and for the caliber of where we're at, speak up, stop immediately leaving our table without giving us a chance to request something else and thereby forcing us to hail you down while you walk by our table, and keep our waters filled. I would go again but mainly for the ambiance and views.

Fabulous food served hot. The menu was small but matched the bay setting and ambience. The server was very nice but incredibly slow. Had to ask for water many times. Many different seating options and spread out enough you didn't have to hear other's conversations. Lovely to watch the boats slide by and the sun setting!

We go to this restaurant very frequently, and invariably, despite having a reservation, they have no tables available. Last night our reservation was for 8:15pm. We arrived right on time and were told there were no tables for at least 45 minutes. This is a classic experience. No excuse for this type of disorganization. We have spoken with the manager the last two times this happened, to no avail.
