Beyond amazing, every time! The food, the service, the quality and freshness of ingredients
Best Japanese restaurant in the area ! Authentic chefs not Chinese/ Korean pretending to be Japanese đ„đ
Best sushi in Orange County, hands down. Especially good are the Salmon Ponzu and the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice
We went to Blue Fin for restaurant week, to try something new. This turned out to be a neighborhood gem right on PCH. We sat at the sushi bar. The food was prepared right in front of us and was excellent both in terms of presentation, flavor and quality of ingredients. The ambiance was great too, intimate but not crowded, and we were never rushed. We really enjoyed the restaurant week menu and will definitely be back to try some other creations. Highly recommend if you have not tried it yet.
Took advantage of this week OC restaurant week promotion so here we went. This is the second time to be back. The food was fresh and very high quality, executed perfectly and so delicious. The dish presentations were so beautiful like Michelin style. Thanks for offering without cutting corners and taking pride đđ«¶.
An excellent sushi place. Food is top-notch, but the service could have been better this last time around.
Ordered the Lunch Bento Box- it was truly amazing. Both quality and quantity of food was excellent.
We have loved Bluefin Restaurant since its opening and the food and service have remained consistently...excellent.
This restaurant isn't the same as it used to be. My first experience at this restaurant was 17 years ago. Now, its Omakase was more like a set menu that never changes from week to week. Food was acceptable but made me think about the price I was paying while I was consuming it. Service is okay. The staff tried to be nice but just didn't really have it in them. Another good example of overall declining culinary culture everywhere on earth. Totally âenshitifiedâ. Will never return to this place again.
I really wanted to like Bluefin Sushi, but unfortunately it was a huge letdown. The sushi was poorly made, lacked freshness, and overall just tasted off. The rice was mushy, the fish had very little flavor, and the presentation didnât help at all.
Honestly, Iâve had better sushi from a grocery storeâat least thatâs consistent and doesnât pretend to be something itâs not. For the price and the expectations that come with a sushi restaurant, this was extremely disappointing.
I wonât be returning, and I wouldnât recommend it if youâre looking for quality sushi.

You will not have higher quality sushi at any other restaurant--it is outstanding. We also enjoy the Chilean Sea Bass dinner to compliment our sushi and a good sake.
I'm a local who frequently dine here. When I ordered Nigiri sushi for $70, I expected high quality pieces of fish. Instead I got not fresh pieces you would expect from a cheap strip mall joint. This is totally not acceptable for this location. I am totally disappointed at the experience.
Excellent sushi and sashimi!

The $60 lunch omakase sounds like a good deal for a "high end" sushi restaurant, but it's not. It includes too many non-sushi dishes/fillers, and the fish tasted and looked like yesterday's. Definitely not worth $60 of food.
Had lunch sushi combo, excellent!
