I used to frequent Moulin and their new "Boulangerie" since it opened. Lately I've noticed a lot of new changes in their display case. Items my kids used to love like the cruffins are now gone and it seems like many other products got crossed off. Not sure what's going on. Hate to leave such a low review for a place I used to enjoy, but it seems like the quality's really taken a beating in the past couple months. Would love to revisit and see some familiar products again and I hope to change this review when things reflect.

I have been a regular at Moulin almost every day since I moved to California 8 years ago. It's truly a blessing to have this place in our town. The dedication of the owner and staff, along with the quality of the food and pastries, make it worth every penny. To those who visited once and left a negative review based on a single experience, I urge you to reconsider.

We invited friends for lunch yesterday, nothing was good as usual. All of us got the same problem. Their food was not good at all. The poulet was overcooked and drye. The salad was not as good as our last time, specially all orders of ham cheese / ham butter were were not tasty and too cold. The ham were like shredded and broken, coffee were not good except one orange juice and … water! All desserts...éclairs, tartes, tiramisus for 6 of us were not good We might try again Moulin in Costa Mesa next time again

This is one of the most deceiving restaurant ever: We order a Buche de Noel for Christmas, I we told the pastries chef is for 14 person, It was so small around 9 inches long & 2/12 inches round,we ordered a chocolate one and was full of peanut butter, Actually nobody ate it... Everyone of my guests disliked it!! And to my disbelieve they charged 65$ plus tax....,is the most overrated place ever, they think being French is good enough, no way....everything is overpriced and not good‼save your money and go somewhere else!! Trust me, you will thank me,

Came early in the morning. Was informed they arnt opened yet. I asked what time do you open -(so I know how long to wait). Was completely ignored. I looked around someone saw me ask but then he quickly looked away. *Update- I dont know how to reply back to owner from yelp but if you see this it was an elder lady at the front she was by the register. I got there by 6:58am

It’s in the same shopping center as Moulin and much less crowded. Same quality and service!

The blueberry lemon curd was out of this world! The closest baked good I've had to Paris boulangerie, I wasn't expecting a lot because every place that claims to be Paris like are never even close to the real thing but this was so so good! I will most definitely come back to try more, what a pleasure to eat here!!! My favorite two picks

Another fantastic find. A bakery with an impressive selection of pastries and bread. My plan was to get a croissant and a coffee for breakfast but seeing the bread, I went for a pain au noix et raisin. I was not disappointed: crunchy crust, soft inside, the sweet pop of the raisins and earthiness of the nuts. Along with a coffee, it made a perfect al fresco breakfast sat at one of the handful of tables outside.

Looks deliciously French. Hope to enjoy some pastries soon:)

Opens up a tad earlier than Moulin :)Has the breads and pastries, the coffee and some drinks and sandwiches. No deserts, hot bar, etc.

Amazing bakery and sandwich shop. Highly recommended.

Paid $7 for a bread and can't even make a sandwich with it, due to a big hole in the middle of it, just a pricy piece of rock, empty on the inside, see pic!

Was really looking forward to a good crepe and a hot bowl of onion soup. Both were very disappointing. Crepe was cold and soup was like warm.

I've been a huge fan of Moulin since the beginning and this latest addition (on the opposite side of the plaza) houses viennoiserie items (baked goods) typically eaten for breakfast/mornings. One of my favorites only available at this location is the blueberry, lemon curd pastry. I also love all the raisin pastries. These are the pastries that aren't super sweet. There are also savory pastries such as ham and cheese croissant, and some filled with brie and mushrooms. Space is small. Attached to the Boulangerie is a store which houses French-style chairs and furniture (which you can find at Bouillon) for purchase. Go check it out!

I love this place. It is part of moulin but it's almost like the bakery side. Mostly have croissants, breads, and fruit danishes. Almost like a little to go bakery. The difference between moulin and boulangerie is that there's just the bakery and furniture. So if you like the seats and tables, feel free to purchase them here!
