This was our first time dining at Sol Grill . We were really pleasantly surprised at how good the food, service and staff were. They went out of their way to make our evening out special. We had a really good shrimp appetizer and I had the Ahi tuna which was delightful. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back soon,
This was my second visit to Sol Grill and I absolutely loved it. The ambiance is so beautiful and there's plenty of parking which I think is pretty rare these days. Their staff is always friendly and the right amount of attentive. We had the meatballs, large Caesar salad, and a glass of Sauvignon blanc. Delicious & healthy portions!!
The food , service, menu, wine selection, and ambiance all make Sol Grill an outstanding dining choice! We had a great meal and wonderful service and this is consistent every time we dine here!
Food is great and staff is fabulous!!!
The food was delicious every bite of it 👍😄🥰
Quality wine & quality people
I called to see if they were open because I didn't see any reviews and I didn't want to go for no reason, they said the were so I drove over. I walked in the door and everyone just looked at me like I didn't belong so I went down to the restaurant below to ask if I was at the right spot and they said yes, up stairs. I asked if there was a private party going on and they said no, so I went back up and began to sit at the bar and was told it was a private party. Recognizing his voice (and the background noise) from when I called earlier, I told him I called and no one said anything about a private party but he insisted he didn't know who I spoke to and told me they should have room for me downstairs. And this is why I rarely go to Newport Beach or anywhere in "the OC!"
great place to have my 35th birthday!
great place to have my 35th birthday!
Cute restaurant. Amazing service. Order the Sangria! Delish! The meatballs in gravy are to die for! The pasta portions are huge; enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Husband had the swordfish and it was a very large size as well. Free dessert for his birthday. Great patio area. The owner is super sweet. Overall, highly recommend and hope to go back with friends soon!

Our first time there great food, great sangria and friendly staff we will definitely be back.
We had a hard time finding this place. It looked closed when we drove by it. We stopped and my wife went in to look the place over and determined that it was not anywhere near what we expected. We expected that it would be an upscale place to celebrate our anniversary. Instead it was next to a bar that was blaring loud music. Sol Grill was open to the street so that you could clearly hear the blaring music from next door . We decided to cancel our reservations. My wife called Sol Grill to cancel and received a message machine with no option to speak to a live person, so she left a message with our cancellation.
The lobster ravioli was to die for, I highly recommend it! However, I can't recommend the bruschetta. It was too thick, too soft, a little burned, with not enough balsamic. Ambience was romantic, great music. Bathroom was sketchy and you literally weave through the tiny kitchen to get there. I'd go back for the ravioli.
We've been coming to this restaurant for years. Always consistent and delicious. A great selection of menu items for any taste. Kung Foo Shrimp appetizer is a must!
We had a reservation and it was honored promptly. Dinner was very good. Ambience excellent. Quiet and relaxed. Parking was difficult, although we were there on a holiday weekend and it's at the beach.
