Coliseum Pool & Grill

We had a lovely lunch at the Coliseum at Pelican Hill. The setting was absolutely beautiful, overlooking the pool, golf course, and ocean. The service was excellent and very attentive. A perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon.

The view is the only reason to dine here. The food is always subpar compared to the Grill.

I celebrated my birthday here, and it was absolutely wonderful! The service was exceptional—they truly made us feel special. The view is breathtaking, and the food was delightful. A big thank you to the team for making the day memorable. We will definitely be back!

It's was my third time visiting this restaurant the coliseum it's just over rated for me and would just compare it to a mom and pop restaurant .. nothing great to look forward to even the food served .. The pool is as old as it gets and needs a renovation .. good luck to all..

Very disappointed in the Cobb salad; all wilted iceberg lettuce for both our salads worst Cobbbsalad I have ever had I have been coming to the Coliseum for years brought my 80 year old aunt and was so bitterly disappointed

Great place with a view on the Pacific for a relaxed lunch, attentive service and contemporary American food

Beautiful patio dining experience over looking the expansive pool. We had an outstanding waiter but my French toast was burnt on the bottom side with black flecks on the plate that the chef had to have noticed. It was taken off the bill without the waiter even saying anything so it was handled appropriately and I'd go back again.

Pellican Hill is arguably the most stunning property in all of California. It is immaculate. Full on Italy in Southern CA but the nicest parts of Italy ;) Service is amazing, it matches the beauty of the place. HOWEVER how can such a beautiful place have such a low quality food and beverage program? The quality of produce is awful. Fruit not ripe or completely expired. Chicken chewy and rubbery. They have to be ordering from Sysco. The espresso machine is so old, coffee is burnt and the syrups used are full of chemicals. Truly worse than Starbucks. Gelato is not authentic at all. Please invest in your culinary/beverage program so this can be my favorite place on planet earth.

Adrianna was an amazing host! She went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were comfortable throughout our evening. Her exceptional service and attention to detail truly made the experience special. From the moment we walked in she made us feel welcomed. The food was also very good, and the view was unbelievable. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want amazing service and food! Don’t forget to order the Key Lime Dessert 😋

Unbeatable location and views of the ocean and sunset. We were indoors but were led to a booth with the best view of sunset. Food quality was very good as usual.

Gabriel Meadee at hoste entree was above expectations. Service from him was above what I normally experience today. This young man deserves recognition and a raise! Exceptional service

Came for a nice lunch but got trapped into their Labor Day ‘buffet’. They made everyone do the $115 holiday meal which is nothing special. It’s just their regular menu but you can order all you want. Never coming back.

Although the quality of the food and setting were quite good we were incredibly frustrated by our dining experience. We were not told in advance that there was a price fixe buffet, we're told at seating that was the only menu and then saw others ordering a la carte. When we asked again about a La carte we were met with confusion and our waitress only confirmed availability after we had already started on the buffet options and it was too late to change. We felt forced into a high price option and also suffered from a lack of attention throughout the meal. Incredibly disappointing.

We love Pelican Hill and have been coming for years but they continue to raise prices and food quality is good but not worth the increase in prices.
