I always have hated renting bikes for the beach because of how much they overcharge. The corner of paradise actually made the whole process very easy. I also got ice cream served my James. James is one of the funniest people I’ve met, definitely ask for James!

Highly recommend Corner of Paradise. Super friendly and helpful staff. Eric and Max made sure we picked the right e-bikes and tandem bikes for our large group. We walked in, signed forms electronically, and received our rental bikes within 10 minutes of walking in.

Their E-Bikes are super sturdy and comfortable, and are perfect whether you want to go FAST or just chill and cruise the boardwalk. Again, I’d highly recommend you check these guys out. They also have an ICE CREAM SHOP attached to the bike shop. Make your next Newport trip extra enjoyable!!

I got ice cream and it fell off the cone on to the cement just after leaving the shop. The clerk came out and offered me a new scoop this time in a cup. Absolutely made my day.

eric is the greatest bike man there is, came in with a flat and took one look at it and automatically knew what to do, fixed it so fast and was super friendly about it.

You always want to go where the locals go when you’re out of town. This is not the spot. I live 2 blocks away and consistent repeat customer and will never use this establishment again and I encourage you to do the same. Terrible service and for being a local and regular you’re treated like a problem with a 1 time flat tire. Just needed air but it’s an issue here. This is not the way it is anywhere else on the peninsula. Spend $40ish a month with constant business partners coming in town, but they can write off the $480 a year and recoup it in their $3 air fee. Go somewhere else. If you support locals go somewhere else. Not a local supported business. Plenty of nice, helpful bike rental shops around here. Go fill 160 bikes with air to make up for this. Just terrible.

I decided to go riding a bike so I went to Balboa Island. I went to a different bike rental place and rented a bike for an enormous amount of money, and parked my car for even more money. I stopped at this store to get a bottle of water and asked about how much they charge for bike rental and could not believe how much less expensive it was! The young man behind the counter explain to me the best places to park to get the best prices and the best places to eat, I was so impressed with how wonderful the owner and his staff were they were wonderful respectful people who just wanted you to have a good time and not take you for every dime you have. The shaved ice was wonderful I had tigers blood which was so tasty they put a scoop of ice cream underneath it it was incredible I highly recommend it! I have been back several times and every time have a wonderful time at a very affordable price I have taken all my friends they cannot believe how well priced in the hall great the parking is and everything this is the best place to go in Balboa Island.

They didn’t check their bikes before people use them they just want more money they didnt fix any of the stuff .They were not good at fixing bikes and they didn’t wear masks there was this boy who didn’t t really care he just left the tools after he tried and failed to raise the seat. Plus the workers look unhappy like they didn’t want to be there. If I had the chance it would be 0 surely.

They closed early one afternoon, which is pretty common but left me hanging. Went back the next morning. They have a decent deal for VRBO renters make sure you ask for it
