Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Some friends and I shared several dishes. The waffles are excellent, fluffy, chewy, crisp and warm with the perfect sweetness when paired with the moist crunchy chicken. The best huevos rancheros I have ever had. And the anchor breakfast burrito was hearty. The service was good. The atmosphere is chill. The bathroom needs some TLC.
We happened upon Dory Deli yesterday while visiting the area and decided to give it a try. We ordered the poke nachos and a smash burger with fries. When the food arrived I grabbed the ketchup bottle sitting on the table and when I opened the lid it exploded all over me! It was in my hair, in my eye, all over my shirt, and on the booth! I have NEVER had that happen!!! I was SHOCKED and sat there stunned for a moment. The staff was slow to react. They offered to get me a “rag” as I jumped up and ran to the restroom to wash my eye out, as it was burning terribly! I had to jump in front of a man that was about to walk in to use the restroom and begged him to let me just use the sink quickly. When I looked in the mirror, it was all over my face, up my forehead and into my hair! It stained my hair red! When I returned to the table, there was a dirty looking rag given to me and that was literally ALL THEY DID! They told me this happens ALL THE TIME AND I WAS THE THIRD ONE IT HAPPENED TO TODAY! WHAT???? Why? That’s insane! Why is there not some type of warning? Or a different option? Clearly these bottles need to be replaced! I was not apologized to. I was not offered any compensation! I hadn’t even taken one bite of my now cold food! Which by the way, was ok but not great! No lettuce , tomato or pickles on that burger. Just meat and cheese and a lot of bun! I realize the people working there are very young but there needs to be some type of customer service. I was out of town and had to go buy a new shirt because I was stained and smelled like ketchup! We absolutely will never be back!

Got the Fish and chips and a bowl of bacon-clam chowder. The fish was super hot and fresh, the breading was perfectly crisp and delicious. Possibley the best battered fish I ever had. The sauce they serve on the side was also amazing. Fries could have been a bit hotter, but I didn't really care because the fish was so good. The bacon-clam chowder bowl was a good size and very fresh, house made flavor. Good texture and plenty of clams and bacon. Lots of flavor and creamy without being overly rich. Would absolutley come back when I'm in the area!

I went into this restaurant with a taste for some chicken and waffles, and exited with 2 broken teeth and distaste for chicken and waffles. The waffle was mediocre at best and the chicken was as hard as the plate it was served on. Don't even get me started on how bland the chicken was. I would get more flavor from the sand on the beach next to me than this "chicken" I ate. Never again

Of course this is a great location. Have passed by it 100’s of times. Wanted a quick lunch so we ordered a couple of sandwiches . WOW, the thinnest layer of tuna we’ve ever seen! “Squaw” bread didn’t taste like squaw bread at all. The turkey had zero flavor! Couldn’t even eat the avocado on the sandwich as it was processed, not fresh. Gross! $14 for a sandwich? No thanks! The chick behind the counter had attitude like other reviews mentioned. I’m sure having a beer here is great but just go to Blackies for that!
