The Eddie V's Newport Beach location is by far our favorite restaurant. We have always enjoyed our dining experiences here for many years. We are beyond sad to hear that this location is closing over the lease renewal with The Irvine Co. We hope that both parties can work this out. It would be a terrible loss if Eddie V's Newport Beach closes.
We love Eddie V's but we're shocked to hear that the Irvine Company has nearly doubled their rent and they are closing mid June. Our visit was wonderful, Nate ... our server ... was magnificent. The sea bass was the best I've had in a long time anywhere Losing this great restaurant to the predatory rent policies of Bren and Co is a sad day.
Eddie V's is the absolute BEST sea food/steak restaurant in the Newport Beach area. We travel from northern Orange County to Eddie V's Wildfish when we want an awesome crab cake, fantastic drinks from the bar, fine wine at our table and great food! Managers Eric & Joey always greet us, treat our party with exemplary professionalism and make eating at the restaurant a very memorable experience. We heard from our server last night that the restaurant is closing in mid-June. What a tremendous loss for Newport Beach and Orange County, California! I am surprised that this particular restaurant is closing, since it beats out Maestro's and all others in the area! When you have a winning team, great food and a dedicated clientele it makes little sense to fold up job!
Excellent Easter brunch! Our server was Aaron and he provided top notch service. This was our first time at this location and it DID NOT disappoint! Ambiance was perfect, service was excellent and the food was delicious!
Website as of right now says Easter Brunch at Newport Beach location is $55. Open table takes you to the same website showing $55. It's in fact $60 so it was bait and switch. Manager wouldn't honor advertised price but our waitress did by comping our coffee. Besides this disappointing false advertising the service, food, and drink were 100% perfect. Steak and frittata were mind blowing and worth the increased price.
Eddie V's in Newport is top tier in service, food, drinks & ambiance. This location, in particular, is our Go-To! We love it! The servers share in our celebrations and smile during our visit, like family enjoying each other. We've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and date nights here. We could go anywhere, but we always choose here! ♥️
If you have been wanting to go to Eddie V's in Newport Beach, GO NOW! Support fine dining in the area so you don't have to drive to another county for this wonderful restaurant. Extremely fresh and flavorful food, fantastic personable servers and attention to detail. Fabulous experience overall!
It was a delightful evening with great service and amazing food. We started with a seafood tower that did not disappoint. Every one enjoyed their meals, but we didn't save room for desert... next time, but we hear this location is closing in June 🥲.
amazing.

Went here for Happy hours and the menus are pretty good. I ate at Eddie V's Manhattan Beach before and loved it. First time trying it near home. The HH items are good, but some aren't as good as others. The calamari is large and delicious. Lobster bisque is OK. Grilled oysters and the lobster tempura in a stick thing are awesome. Their ribeye steak should be great bc I love it at the Manhattan Beach location.

. . . GREAT steak and seafood restaurant! . . . definitely one of the best Prime Ribeye steaks I've ever had, and my wife's Chilean Sea Bass was truly AMAZING. The Bananas Foster Butter Cake dessert, served flaming, table-side, was not only a sight to behold, but was absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly, courteous, responsive, and professional, as well . . . a bit pricey, of course, but what a night to remember!!!

The food was outstanding! We tried the yellowtail for an appetizer. It was so light and fresh! Then my husband got the filet for his main dish. It was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I ordered the seabass. I like seabass any way it's cooked, seared, baked ect. However this was almost steamed in a soy broth and it was by far the best I've ever had. The presentation was also nice! For our sides we recommend trying the corn, crab fried rice, and the warm goat cheese salad. Desert was the banana fosters buttercake omg a must try! It was all so good! We thought the food was better than mastros because it was lighter and not so rich.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday than Eddie V’s! She’s been a loyal patron since the Wildfish opening era, and tonight was truly exceptional. The staff’s attention to detail, even from just a brief conversation confirming my reservation, led to one of the most memorable dinners we’ve ever had. Everyone made her feel incredibly special, as if she were the only person celebrating a birthday this year. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere—sitting on the patio by the fire pit—was perfect. A truly unforgettable experience! Thank You, Eddie V's. You were exceptional, as always ♥️

Excellent choice for special occasions or dinner with friends. Consistently great food and service. Manny is the best server & I always request him if possible. Super wine list. Recommend Sea Bass, Ribeye, Crab cakes. All sides terrific. A++
