The host “looked” at my reservation for two and said “oh, let me add another chair to your reservation”. I'm sorry there's two of us on a reservation for two so I am confused but ok. The seating in general was very tight even though it was just two of us, all the tables were very crowded and close together. We noticed the bar was empty and almost asked to move. The servers and the busters all worked very well together and the rest of the meal was delicious.

Overall food for lunch! Kids Chicken tenders and fries are good and kids Mac & cheese was enjoyed by my son. Shrimp & Avocado tower was okay. Had unnecessary filler of cherry tomatoes in it.

I really recommend ribeye hash to anyone who came to the restaurant, it is really delicious. The environment is a little bit noisy because of many people dining there, but that is normal for a restaurant which has good business going on. The service is great, and would say this would be one of my favorite places.

Food was pretty good but the service was very slow and it was hard to get water refills. At one point I got up and went in to bar to ask for a refill. Requests for spare plate were forgotten. Waitress was nice but maybe they were understaffed. This took place on a weekday at12:30 pm

We enjoyed breakfast on their patio. We both had the Modern American breakfast which includes avocado toast. Husband had regular scrambled eggs with pork sausages. I had egg whites with fruit. Both were delicious. My first entree came with my egg whites over the side of the plate so when it was served, that portion touched the table. I mentioned it to our waiter to ask the cook to be more careful in the future as I couldn't eat that part of my meal. The waiter actually came back with more egg whites to make up for it. That is caring and good service!

I booked for outdoor seating but hostess took us to an inside corner spot next to bathroom entrance when we arrived. I asked seating situation ti be corrected & hostess unpleasantly told me it would be 15 -20 mins wait. I accepted the delay & was informed that I would get a text when my table is ready. At the same time, I noticed at least 2 tables in outdoor were vacant. I patiently waited for 30 mins and no text. I decided to stop by the front desk again & another server told me the table is ready. We proceed to the table & it's next to a big table with screaming kids. I can hardly hear the conversation w my niece. Good thing the food was delicious! I probably will only do take out from this place.

We had a chicken salad - chicken was so hard. But the rest of the salad was awesome! Also the tuna stack was delicious. The server was really clueless, the coffee was cold and when he brought hot coffee he didn't get milk and creamer. Also took him forever to get water without ice.

We arrived a few minutes early, were immediately taken to a table, but sat for over 10 minutes with no one even acknowledging our presence. No eye contact, no water, no attention at all. The server who finally came was not someone we saw on the floor previously so perhaps had just come on shift. While she was very attentive, it took a long time for the bar order to be delivered and even longer for subsequent dinner order to was delivered. The food was cold even the wonderful maple bacon doughnuts were cold. We were very disappointed! This is one of our favorite restaurants when we are in Fashion Island Newport Beach. A frequent destination when visiting friends and family who live nearby.
