A huge disappointment.
This is our first visit to a Happy Lemon location, so I’m not sure if this is how the drinks usually taste, but we were quite disappointed. The menu offers a decent range of items, but the recipe needs a lot of work. Our drinks were crazy watered down, and the boba was rock hard.
* Strawberry Green 0 - mostly water with a hint of strawberry
* Passionfruit Green 0 - the passionfruit seeds made it hard to drink
*0 - barely cooked and very hard
The shop is located in the food court of the Fashion Island outlet, so there are a bunch of tables and chairs to sit at. Unfortunately, it means that you’ll have to park and walk quite a bit to actually get to the shop. Although we didn’t enjoy our drinks, the workers were very nice and friendly.
Will not be returning.
Drinks were really bland and not sweet, not like other Happy Lemon locations. Tasted really watered down
Ordered mango slushies and an Oreo bubble waffle. The female associate gave my daughters a hard time as they were trying to pick up their drinks then proceeded to laugh when I complained about my overcooked waffle which was hard and burnt- it was inedible. She proceeded to allow her co-worker to take accountability in trying to make it right. He made a new one and comped me while she stood around and avoided interacting with me. I waited 10 minutes for my 1st order and another 15 minutes for the 2nd. I’ve had better service and food/drinks at the Irvine Marketplace location.
No one here knows what they’re doing.
I’ve been a loyal Happy Lemon customer for years and always order the taro milk tea. However, the one I received at this location was not the same quality I’ve come to expect. The tea was very bitter and had no ube/taro flavor at all. Unfortunately, the taste and quality do not reflect the usual Happy Lemon standards.

I went to Happy Lemon at 4:26 PM, and the staff told me they were on a break and would be back at 5 PM. Since Google Maps said they close at 8 PM, I decided to go shopping nearby and returned at 6:06 PM—only to be told they were closed for the day. Very disappointed with the inconsistent information and lack of communication.
I really like this place. I ordered the Fresh Passionfruit Mango Green Tea with 50% sweetness and boba, and just like always, it was very very delicious. Even though it’s located in a food court and had a small line, we didn’t wait long.

This location usually has poor service or they often ran out of something.
The last two times we have tried this location, they were out of boba AND waffles. You know, the two things they’re famous for.
Maybe it’s not their fault? But try telling a kid who earned a bubble waffle for good behavior that they’re out again.
Great place if you want to practice disappointing your child.

A bubble waffle 🧇 with cream sauce is good!
The drink itself was okay but the boba was hard. I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. Disappointed with this location.

I walked by this store yesterday and ordered a Mango Lemon Slushy with boba, and it was amazing good!!! I was shocked tbh. And the staff was very nice, she even helped me to throw my trash away!

I've been coming here the last 2 months. I always get the Jasmine Green Tea to pair with my lunch. A friend recommended me the Black Tea w/ Salted Cheese and that has become my favorite. My son loves their Oreo waffles. The staff is always friendly, quick and professional. Hygiene is a big thing for me and the staff always wears gloves when prepping. Over all, it's worth a visit if you're at Fashion Island.
Kid-friendliness: It's a food court so you'll see families with kids hanging out.

I tried their fresh squeezed lemon jasmine green tea. The tea itself was delicious but I would definitely avoid all of their "add ons". I added Boba and egg pudding to my drink. The Boba was not fresh at all, likely made the previous day with hard center and mucus like outside (evidence of being refrigerated and not fresh). The egg pudding was hard like hard tofu with the typical "pudding skin" of clearly old pudding. Service was good, nice and polite staff. But clearly they don't use fresh ingredients. Likely won't return to this location.
