I have nothing to good things to say about Haute Cakes. I fell in love with their famous ricotta pancakes, but everything else I’ve tried has been amazing as well. Great eggs, perfectly cooked bacon. Their house made granola with berries is also fantastic and my new obsession. Parking can be tricky and Be prepared to wait in line at least 20 minutes but it is worth the wait! Due to their policy, it usually isn’t hard to find a table. They are very quick to bring out food. Their staff is kind and move with urgency. A special thank you to the owner, Paul for his kindness during my last visit!

It's a price value mix item. Very good food, and the people around there have the money to spend. It. Means that the service is a little bit slow, but when you get to talk to a person, it's undivided attention and top notch advice and quality.

This morning, I took my husband, 2 caregivers, and my father—who is 95 years old and in a wheelchair—to Haute Cakes Caffe in Newport Beach, CA this morning at 10:30 today to get breakfast.
It was very crowded and there was a long line of people in a very narrow walkway. The restaurant doesn't allow people to sit before they eat, so we were standing in line for about 10 minutes and people came in and out constantly making us shift my dad in his wheelchair or bumping into him.
There were at least 15 tables open and one large picnic table in the center of the patio area. I asked the waiter if we could sit my dad at a table so that he could get out of the crowd and the narrow walkways where we had to keep moving him because of all the rude people in and out. He said no and then went to check with the owner who said no as well.
We had been here before and got a table before we ordered. But the owner today said we could not. He/she and the wait staff were super rude and condescending to my elderly dad and my party. I feel that not only was my father discriminated against for being old and disabled in a wheelchair, I also felt even more dismissed because my husband is black, and our caregivers are Mexican and Philippina.
My sweet dad was discriminated because of his age and in a wheelchair and the owner made no concessions or assistance to get our dad out of the pushy crowd and constant movement while there were a dozen tables open. It was very uncalled for.
My Dad is 95, an Air Force Vet, former medical doctor at Hoag, went to Harvard and was rudely dismissed at this restaurant. It was discouraging to be treated in this fashion when all we wanted to do was set him at a table while we ordered and get him out of the pushy crowd.
The waiter was rude and dismissive, and the owner was the same, being adamant that he didn’t care that my dad was in wheelchair, he would have to wait in line like everyone else. Why isn’t there an accommodation for wheelchair patrons?
BTW, the server refused to give me his name and refused to give me the name of the owner, but it would have been either Tania or Paul Taddeo. Which is ironic because on their website they clearly state: “OUR PASSION IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SO DON'T HESITATE TO ASK FOR US!” - TANIA & PAUL.
Well, I did ask for them, and they refused to give me their names or even talk to me. I guess they didn’t think people know how to go on the internet…. So rude… Wow.

A local gem for breakfast lovers! The orange ricotta pancakes were fluffy and perfectly sweet, topped with berry compote. The breakfast burrito was satisfying and came with a nice amount of potatoes. The portions are generous, the presentation is beautiful, and the food quality is top-notch. Great spot for a relaxed weekend brunch. Highly recommend!

A cute breakfast spot with tasty food, charming holiday decor, and great hospitality. My breakfast burrito and cold brew were both worth ordering again.

Cute place but food is meh😐
I got avocado toast, and the potatoes on the side seemed like they been waiting for someone to take them out of the oven! So many crumbs and there were more skins than potatoes!
Paid around $50 for 2 dishes and 2 coffee.
Don’t think I’ll go again unless they change their food.

Would not return to this spot the food was bland and lacked anything special. If you want a nice vibe come here. If you want anything besides the pancakes avoid. The breakfast sandwich felt like it was microwaved/frozen and lacked flavor and quality ingredients.

Visiting from Salt Lake City. Ate inside and it’s expensive for what you get. The food was so-so.

We ordered the Haute Combination and Huevos Rancheros. Honestly, nothing special about either dish, just a very standard pancake and a rather tasteless scramble. For all the hype, it felt totally overrated. The bill came to $53 for two breakfasts and one latte, which is steep given the underwhelming food. The vibe is nice, but overall, I wouldn’t rush back.

Food is delicious. Food delivered hot and fresh to the table. As a victim of their own success, it's crowded and loud, but we'll keep coming back for their food.

everything about this place was great. Only down side would be parking. we drove around the block once and when we came back through the 2nd time someone was leaving, so we lucked out. Oatmilk pancakes were fantastic, real maple syrup is always a good sign. My son got the buttermilk pancakes which were also really good. we both added blueberries to them. my daguters ordered waffles and oatmeal, with eggs and bacon. Everything was 10 out of 10. Would definitely recommend.
