Food is not as good as it was years ago. We’ve been coming there for at least 20 years. We feel over the last 5-6 years the food is not up to what it used to be.
You literally HAVE to go here. It’s a Newport staple. The Combo Salad is legendary, if getting takeout get the crunchies and dressing on the side and add once home.
The lunch special (choose 2 of half chicken fried rice/half salad/half wonton soup) is what to do. Weekend brunch to with bottomless mimosas great for a Sunday!
I still don't understand how a white man could open such a healthy and delicious Chinese restaurant! The flavours are so good, his dumplings are made of chicken, and although they are very delicately made, it's hard to tell they are made of chicken. The service is always warm and attentive, reflecting the excellent culture of the staff at this restaurant.
Very well Deserved 5 🌟
Food, Service, and Atmosphere are all excellent.
Amazing food. Would never eat there as the seating arrangement is kind of cramped. Employees are usually pleasant and the glazed spicy chicken on rice is excellent.
Total goldmine. The staff? Seriously, the nicest people ever, always up for a chat and know their menu backwards and forwards. It's got that perfect buzz – busy enough to know it's good, but not fighting for a table. And the food? Fresh, fast, and just plain tasty, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a chill meal. Honestly, it's just a super relaxed, good vibes kinda place.
We were visiting the area and ordered to go, Combo fried rice which had a burnt taste. We also ordered orange chicken. Every Chinese restaurant we have ever been to for the last 40 or so years give a container full of orange chicken (beef, pork or whatever). In this case the container was about 75% white rice and a thin layer of "orange chicken" on top. Bottom line, skip this place and go to an authentic Chinese restaurant.

I was visiting family and stopped in to order food it’s been awhile but just wanted to let you know I enjoyed it. I know one was salad and a noodle dish. Wish we had one in Florida keep up the great work.

This is a different type of restaurant. I want to preface this review by saying that their food is fantastic. This is an amazing place for take away. But this restaurant really cares about their customers. Last 2 times I went in to eat, kitchen forgot my order. This was not really an inconvenience for me but the restaurant gave me discounts for me being “inconvenienced”. This restaurant really cares about their customer experience which is rare. I wish I remembered the waitress’s name so this establishment could give her the credit she deserves. This is awesome and I would recommend it on their customer service alone. Get the salad it is gas.

The food was bad, way too much salt, way too much sugar. Chicken came out in 3 minutes so it was not fresh. The art on the walls looks like a horror movie. Just because you have trauma in your life doesn’t mean I want to see it. Service was lacking. Definitely won’t come back.
the lettuce wrap sauce is great here. hot mustard makes it.
The best.
