We frequent Ho Sum. The combo salad is 10/10, I always ask for an extra side of dressing because I love the dressing so much. Crab bellies and the sauce it comes with are BOMB. The staff is always great.

If you expect authentic Chinese food, do not go here. No MSG, little spice, meat not velvetized. It was bland, bland, bland. Including the soy sauce which absolutely han zero typical unctuousness or salt.
Decent, clean, small space, with a US Cafe/Bistro vibe. Didn't see anything Chinese in there.

2. If you like food that has flavor, this may not be the place for you. Any flavor. This food is freakishly void of flavor. Like they have a process for sucking the flavor out of the ingredients. It’s kind of crazy.
Oh well. Really wanted to like it.
BTW don’t get the orange chicken. It’s about 90% rice with chicken pebbles on top.

I’d heard great things about the combo salad, but I was highly disappointed. I have no idea what the hype is about. It’s a bunch of lettuce with a little chicken and minimal flavor. Staff was very kind, however, but overall will not be back due to the food. Was also very unimpressed with the orange chicken.

Wanton soup with no crispy? Chick had bad attitude too
I ordered takeout from the restaurant, which we’ve loved since it opened. Unfortunately, the experience this time was disappointing, especially since the order taker was not present. My husband and I told the staff twice that we wanted brown rice, but they didn’t honor that request. Instead, we received white rice that was very smelly, along with tasteless orange chicken. It was disappointed experiences.
