We arrived 30 early but was seated promptly. The layout is very open and although there was a party next to us, I didn't feel crowded. I liked the ambiance and our server was very attentive given he also served a party of 10 table near our table. We started with the shrimp and scallop ceviche. It was an excellent choice and the tortillas strips were sturdy enough to hold the ceviche without breaking! I ordered a coconut drink that was quite refreshing and would've ordered a second but I was the driver for the day. My daughter ordered the Mediterranean bowl and said it was delicious! I ordered the seared yellow tuna salad. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I'd order it again. I live near the Manhattan Beach location but decided to eat in Newport Beach since we were in the neighborhood. Can't wait to visit the MB location SOON!!!!!

Our waitress was amazing, accommodating beyond belief, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Food was delicious and ambience was great for our entire party ranging from age 4 to 81. Would definitely come back here again.

I enjoy the overall vibe and energy at Joey Newport Beach — it's a lively spot with a great atmosphere, especially on weekends. However, my consistent issue with this location is their lack of punctuality with reservations. My table was ready at 8:00 PM despite a 7:30 PM reservation, and this has happened multiple times before. The staff seem overwhelmed by the high volume of guests, which also reflected in the food — while most dishes were solid, the filet mignon arrived lukewarm. I'd love to keep coming back, but I hope they work on honoring reservation times more reliably.

Joey is a great SoCal restaurant! The food is amazing. The service is first rate. The atmosphere is fantastic- great people watching. We go every time we are in the area. Highly recommend.

Hubby and I have been several times but this time we brought our teens. They liked it a lot. Great as usual and way better service than last time. Overall Joey has great food options, good vibes and great place to people watch.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that my steak wasn't cooked the way I requested, and it also had a taste that didn't seem quite right. On top of that, the presentation was a bit messy—it didn't look appealing. I'd appreciate it if this could be addressed

I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service I received from Kevin. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and attention to detail. It's refreshing to experience such genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. Thank you for going above and beyond—I truly felt valued and well taken care of.

The food and service were outstanding. Champagne and appetizers as we waited for our table are a nice touch. Even on a Thursday the restaurant was very loud and we had to shout to hear each other. Our server said it's even louder on Fridays and Saturdays. Prices are high as you'd expect for this class restaurant. Given all this, we'll probably come back for one of their happy hour specials, when it should be a little quieter.

Our party of four loved the vibe. We were seated in a booth with our backs to the kitchen windows and facing outward toward the main dining room. The place has a very cool indoor/outdoor feel. Service was great, and the menu is diverse. The food however was not particularly spectacular-tasting, but the presentation of most dishes was visually lovely. Would have liked to have been blown away by the food, considering the prices, but am likely to return regardless. Hostess staff was SUPER on it and lovely (seated us immediately even without our entire party having arrived — which in my book is *HUGE* — too many restaurants are short-sighted and don't comprehend the mutual value of this... customers get to feel settled in and the restaurant makes more $ if we're eating & drinking ASAP). No brainer. Valet staff also very on it - worth the charge and the tip for the guys. They're great.

Hummus is out of this world and the chicken parm hasa hint of spice to taste and off the charts in flavor, portion size and appearance!!! Delicious

I have wanted to go to Joey's for a long time. I was not disappointed. We were greeted with a glass of champagne when we arrived. We had a 4:45 reservation and the place was packed. Fun vibe. We had the chicken wraps for an appetizer. Yummy! I ordered the sea bass and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and delicious! My daughter had the steak and sushi. I had a taste and it was perfectly prepared. Very tasty. For dessert we had the butter cake (of course). That was wonderful. We both LOVED JOEY'S! Once you go, you know.

We enjoyed the trendy ambiance of Joey, good service, fusion style cuisine and being offered a glass of champagne when we checked in. The parking lot next to the restaurant is very busy and tight because 3 restaurants share it. So if you don't want to valet, and don't mind walking a bit, it's easier to park across the street, on the lot closer to B&N.

Very noisy restaurant. Easy to get a reservation and the hostess was informative and helpful. Not a place for easy conversation during dinner. Food was just OK. The mushrooms and fries were only lukewarm. Our waitperson was attentive and gave us good recommendations when we asked. We may try lunch sometime and try to come back on a slower night.

Easy parking, great hosting, wonderful outdoor seating, prompt and thoughtful service, delicious appetizers and entrees. The perfect location for an early business dinner. Be prepared for the crowd to be heavy even before 4pm on a Thursday night. Come early. Sit outside and enjoy the covered patio and great service! Bravo!
