Overpriced and underwhelmed. Two pork tacos $13. The pork was dry and flavorless and the restaurant was filthy. Why is s it so hard to find good food in South Orange County? Whether it’s Greek (Nick’s greek), Mexican, Italian, American, Thai, etc., most restaurants in south county lack on every level.

Stepping into Las Fajitas in Lake Forest felt like visiting an old friend's home – it's clear this is a genuinely family-owned and run establishment, radiating warmth and hospitality. My recent dinner experience there truly exceeded expectations, making it a hidden gem that deserves far more recognition.

The food, first and foremost, is simply amazing. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was clearly made to order, arriving hot and perfectly presented. I dove into the tacos, and they were delicious, packed with flavor. The portions are generous, offering excellent value for the price, especially considering the quality. A definite highlight is their fantastic salsa bar, which boasts a wide variety of fresh, vibrant options. While I found most salsas to be fantastic, there was one with a slightly unusual consistency that leaned a bit too much into vinegar for my personal taste, but the sheer array means there's something for everyone.

Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere. It’s a great spot for families, and they even offer commendable vegetarian options, with most dishes adaptable without meat. Plus, the convenience of plenty of free parking is a huge bonus. Las Fajitas is a place I'd highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, fresh, and well-priced Mexican food.

Walked from our hotel to try this place out. Shocked no one was here on a Friday night. Chips and salsa were delicious. Food came out fresh and hot. Had the tacos and highly recommend this place!

Family owned and run. The food is amazing! Fantastic salsa bar and lunch specials daily. Everything is made to order and super fresh great portions excellent value!!

This place is SO good! Everything is hand made in the restaurant and very fresh. We will be back.

I got a combo plate. The taco was pretty good, well stuffed. The cheese enchilada was hard to find under sauce. It was a bit thin. The chili rellano was okay but also a bit thin on filling. The beans and rice were unremarkable. All in all, not worth the $17.95 it cost. The salsa bar was pretty well stocked and somewhat tasty.

Ok overall. The complimentary chips were good. As were rice and beans. Some of the salsa was good. One of them tasted like vinegar and lemons and had a weird consistency.
The steak with the fajitas tasted good but was incredibly tough and stringy. Difficult to chew and cut through with a knife. I’m going to be honest this is a restaurant that makes me think I could cook the food better at home. And that usually doesn’t come to my mind
