Good sandos, over priced.
Amazing sandwiches, burgers (try the Uncle beef!) in beautiful steaks. This is my go-to. Parking is a pain but it's worth it. Trust me.
I’ve been here before and it was great. Today was a different experience. They completely botched our order. I told the guy at the register no mayo twice and it came out with mayo. Not that big of a deal on its own but it gets worse.
My wife ordered a smash burger with cheddar cheese. The guy said so you want a chopped cheese? My wife again said the wanted a smash burger with cheddar. He responds again and says so you basically want a chopped cheese? She said if that’s what you call a smash burger with cheddar then yes. We thought it was strange because he again said, just want to make sure we’re on the same page, you want a chopped cheese? To which she replied yes because we both thought that’s what they called a smash burger with cheddar at that point based on their exchanges. Turns out it was something totally different than a smash burger and didn’t even have cheddar cheese on it.
We told the food runner about the issues and she basically just mumbled something and walked away. We assumed she was fixing it but she never came back to confirm. After 10 minutes I went to find her and she said they were remaking the order. I then spoke to the guy that took our order and explained the issues. He said that he didn’t hear me say no mayo, and he also reiterated that he had confirmed with my wife that she wanted the chopped cheese. I tried to let him know that he should have explained it wasn’t the same as a smash burger with cheddar but he couldn’t wrap his head around that. I then spoke to the owner and explained the situation. He straight out said “we don’t have cheddar”. The guy at the register could have just said from the beginning and it would have been much clearer!
The owner was kinda making excuses for the guy which saying it sounds like miscommunication on our part as well which was not correct. It’s his job to clearly explain that they don’t have cheddar and what she was ordering is not a smash burger at all!
Feels like the sandwiches just keep better… that herbed turkey is bomb
Mouth watering burger best taste I ever had and experienced great burger and atmosphere.
Best place to grab lunch if you're in the area! Service is great and the food is outstanding!
The fries are delish but it's 1st my 1st time here, as I've heard people say good things but I tried the Grilled chicken sandwich & its Awful. Can't even eat the chicken as its like rubber & the tiny bit of lettuce on it is brown & wilted. Just mushy saucey bread. I'm so disappointed. I tried to call but no one answers.
Turkey sandwich was fantastic but somewhat pricey at $16
Absolutely incredible. My new favorite place. You never taste a smash burger like this. Real Grilled Mexican Jalapeños. I still have my lips sleeped :) next Pastrami sandwich. Congrats to the team. The kitchen is still fast with many customers orders! 👊
Best place so far! Don’t forget to order the chilaquiles or any special of the day you can’t go wrong! Congrats for the expansion!

We drove up from Torrance to try the pastrami and Italian sub, and they did not disappoint! The sandwiches were so good that we drove back the following weekend just to get more. You can truly taste the quality, it’s clear they use top-tier ingredients.
My husband makes steak better than 99% of the most expensive restaurants we’ve been to, so on our second visit he had to grab a few of their steaks to try. They were phenomenal, tender, flavorful, and incredible quality.
We’re officially hooked and gladly make the drive for their food. Bonus points: the shop is spotless and very well kept. Highly recommend Mario’s Butcher Shop!
The Reuben and cheddar
Burger was just OK. Maybe I need to try something else. I was hyped tho…
Spot has great food. The burgers are amazing!!
Seriously high quality sandwiches for a reasonable price. Friendly folks working the counter. Some great sides and drinks to pair with your lunch and plenty of meats, cheeses, and other in-house products to take home. A hidden gem!
I’ve known about this place for about half a year now, and it’s definitely not my first time picking up meat here to cook at home. Their cuts are just perfect for steaks — you can always find exactly what you need, whether you’re looking for a specific size or price.
What really surprised me was the salmon — seriously good, fresh and flavorful. And by the way, they’ve expanded the space inside recently, feels much bigger now, though unfortunately still not many tables for dining in.
That’s the thing about this spot — it’s not just a butcher shop. The guys here will walk you through everything: help pick the right cut, recommend a Caesar salad to go with it, and even suggest spices to bring the flavor out. They’ll share cooking tips too — which I still appreciate because I’m far from a steak master yet.
Sometimes though, I skip the home cooking and go straight for their double burger. You have to try it at least once — juicy, packed with flavor, and worth every bite. And the price? Totally fair for what you get.
A funny moment — a few times when I was choosing meat, a man with a mustache jumped in with advice. Turns out, he’s the owner! Works right there in the kitchen, super friendly guy — just like everyone else on the team.
If you’re into steaks or burgers, this place is a must. Just expect it to be busy — finding a table or even parking around lunch can be tough, but trust me, it’s worth it. Big thanks to the crew for keeping it real and making some of the best burgers I’ve had in OC
