My friend and I were looking to try different food spots while we were in Newport for the week, and this spot was our favorite! The pad thai was amazing, and the drunken noodles that my friend got were also to die for! Staff was friendly and helped us out right away and were attentive, as it was busy while we were in there. We will be back when we are back in town :)

Good food, bad service. On multiple occasions the staff is too busy to even look me in the eye even when it's empty. Just today the server tapped the receipt on the to go bag instead of telling me the total price without looking at me, I was the only customer. This has too on too many occasions to keep coming back or recommend which is a pity because the food is good. That and the occasional issue with flys flying around the shop

Love, love, love the Mint Leaf on the Peninsula! Authentic Thai flavors and great prices served in a 'hole in the wall' vibe 2 blocks from the beach. I've never had a dish I didn't like. I ride my bike there nnd take the ferry when I can to zoom past traffic. Easier to find a parking spot close to this hidden gem. Lunch, dinner, meeting friends or on a date... it's a great pick!
