The atmosphere comes from the Open water views right on the benches that look out over the boardwalk and then the beach. Great passing multitude of humanity. The food is expected for this type of a brew brunch and go type of place. I like it.

One of my favorite places to go in the area. If I was the owner or management I’d like to know about this, that’s why I’m leaving this review. I sat down at my barstool for lunch and found it pretty wobbly and unstable. I didn’t want to teeter totter through my entire meal so I swapped it with an empty one. A few minutes later the bouncer with the backwards hat and neck tattoo questioned me if I changed the stool. I told him absolutely it’s wobbly. He proceeded to lecture/guilt me how that stool is for the bouncers(they’re identical). I shouldn’t have taken it and next time never touch it. Outside of security issues I’d think it’s the entire staffs responsibility to ensure patrons have the best experience. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe it’s better to have the employee on the clock be comfortable sitting down so he can play on his phone and text his friends while the customer performs a balancing act through their meal on a rickety stool. I don’t drink, so alcohol did not affect this exchange. Perhaps consider getting new seating they’ve seen their days anyway. Sunday 3/1 between 3-4pm, bouncer with neck tattoo.

Hi this morning I ate here it was delicious, I got chorizo con huevos with salsa , hash browns, refried beans with cotija cheese & corn tortillas & a water to drink, friendly, nice service quick , nice beach atmosphere in Newport by the pier .

I was recommend by a friend to check this place out. The view and atmosphere was amazing. The staff members were all nice and insightful on what i wanted to eat.
I settle with the fish platter with some fires on the side. I could tell this was fresh and prepared the same day. The price wasnt bad for the quality of food and the service. I highly recommend on coming here

He is a Staple in Newport From day one, he’s been steady, and genuinely welcoming. He doesn’t just do his job he makes people feel comfortable.Give that Young man a promotion and a Raise.

One person who has truly stood out, is Abel.
He has been a constant presence in Newport, and every time we walk in, he greets us with the same welcoming, friendly energy that makes you feel taken care of. My kids, who are now in their 20s, have always loved coming here — and as a parent, knowing that someone like Abel is around gives me real peace of mind. He treats everyone with respect, keeps an eye out, and creates an environment where people feel safe.
A few months ago, an incident happened that reminded me just how important it is to have the right people in the right roles. Abel handled everything with professionalism and calm, and it only reinforced what I’ve known for years: Mutts is lucky to have him.
So to the management — good for you for keeping Abel on your team. He’s a genuinely great person and a big part of why we continue to come back after all these years.
Mutts isn’t just a restaurant for us. It’s part of our story. And people like Abel are a big reason why.

If you make it here, sit in this spot when the sun is out! The service was excellent too as our server took great care of our needs and made great suggestions for food and the beer we drank!
