Newport Fusion Sushi

This was a horrible experience. I went with my 3-year-old and my mom for lunch today. We were seated at a table in the corner next to one that hadn't been cleaned and where they were doing flower arrangements. We asked to be moved to an open booth, but were dismissed and told it wasn't available. I asked again about the booth, and the hostess said it was taken--even though it remained empty. I was ready to leave, but we stayed and ordered because my son and mom were hungry. We ordered food, only to feel rushed throughout the meal. The waitress kept coming over to pick up our plates, even though she wasn't doing the same at other tables. I'm never coming back here again!

I can’t rate service or atmosphere as I did delivery but let me tell you, the food is AMAZING (and I worked at a sushi restaurant in college so I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to sushi).
I ordered just a simple yellowtail cut roll and a tuna cut roll and both had HUGE chunks (not the minced stuff that is used for lesser quality fish and mixed with mayo or scallions) but huge chunks of very fresh fish.
Each piece of the sushi was quite large because of that! 😍
They also put ponzu to-go in the order because I asked. That was kind of them. Side note, the wasabi is fresh as well, same with the ginger (minor things but good indicator of a sushi restaurant’s level).
Overall, if the rest of their items are of this same freshness and portion size (and also the price!? Highly affordable for THIS caliber of roll) then this is my new go to.

Food was so good and flavorful. The employees were super nice and welcoming. I really loved how beautiful the setting was inside. Overall a good experience!

Absolutely delicious! This is some of the best sushi I’ve had, not to mention the wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. The food came out super quick but I think we may have eaten it even faster. We’ll be back for more!

My new go to place for sushi! Food was fantastic from start to finish. Not sure about another review stating they don't serve ginger/Wasabi. We were promptly brought a generous portion of both. The waiters were all super friendly and welcoming as well as the sushi chefs. Jinbei roll (pictured) was phenomenal. I will definitely be back!

I recently dined at Fusion Sushi and had a fantastic experience. Our waiter, Abraham, was super nice and kind, making us feel welcome from the start. We ordered the Korean barbecue and chicken fried rice, both of which were delicious. The Korean barbecue was tender and flavorful, while the chicken fried rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

The service was prompt and attentive, and the restaurant had a clean, stylish decor. Overall, Fusion Sushi is a great spot for a fusion of Korean and Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended, especially if you get Abraham as your waiter!

This was my favorite place and now the quality and service went down the hill.

They do not give wasabi or ginger on each sushi order, and I kept telling them to give me ginger which took them a long time when the restaurant was not full or busy. They had 3 tables outside including mine and no one was in the restaurant to serve.

Quality on fish is horrible now. Not the same as before.

We wont come here again when it is down the block of our house

COME HERE!!! Could not recommend more. We came here twice in one week and will come anytime we’re in Newport. Our server was so nice and recognized us the second time we came in. They even catered to my little siblings who just wanted tons of cucumber rolls. The fish is so fresh. Each roll had a perfect balance of ingredients, the right amount of sauce (aka a lot), a great crunch, and overall quality you can taste. Our order came out super fast (even on a busy Friday night).They also have great options for or non sushi eaters. Make sure to stop by!

Kid-friendliness: I feel like a lot of sushi restaurants aren’t kid friendly but they did a great job of accommodating us and just being happy we were there (even with some craziness going on)
